Too wet
Everything is just that, after it snowed the ground was so muddy that I had to walk only on the carpet . Drainage is not good
Hello Old Friend
I've played here probably 50 times or so. The grass was still dormant, the greens were mostly green and in good condition. Pace of play was good. The bunkers would be my only gripe. They seemed overly full of very powdery sand, like 4-6" deep. I left one bunker shot short, and shot another one across the green. The driving range is full size/natural grass, with artificial pads in use this day. Forest Greens is a good course in decent shape and at a manageable price. I'd recommend it, and I will be back.
Course was great.
Course was great for the price and considering the weathered grass for the end of winter.
The rates were pricey for winter play. But, the course was in good shape.
Great track
Forest Greens Golf Course was a definitebtrest to play. I probably caught like 2 weeks to a month to late for the fairways have browned and a majority of the leaves have fallen. But the layout was spectacular. I have to remember it's December and I need to be thankful for a 63 degree day for sure. Greens are in good shape, bunkers need to settle in but it's a must play in my opinion. The members I got paired up with were awesome to play with. Jason, Roy & Bob all had local knowledge over me but that didn't hinder us from having fun at all. They helped me on all the blinked shots that I had & if I would've played it now knowing I would've probably played it differently. So for that, thanks at fellas. I highly recommend this golf course.
Very Nice
Brand new bunkers on the entire course. Nice soft sand. Greens rolled well. Beautiful forest views. Rough not too bad. A little hilly but the hills near the fairway roll the ball back in on a bad shot. Enjoyed it. Had to cancel 1st res but course gave me free rounds no prob. Very nice staff.
Best I've ever seen it
I haven't played here in a while but wow this place has stepped it up. Course conditions from fairways, greens and BUNKERS (used to be full of rocks and mud) were the best I've ever seen it. Still not perfect but forest greens has come a long way.
Wide fairways but don’t miss them
Course was in good condition despite recent seasonal tee and greens aeration. Fairways are amply wide but and stray drives are in danger of getting lost in the tall brush and growth abutting the tree-lined fairways. Course is quite hilly and there are a few blind shots from certain tees and lies. Staff is courteous, facilities are adequate for a county-owned course. Would play again.
Course is in great shape
Played here back in May and it was in horrible shape. Played today and it was in great shape. Greens were rolling true and they were fast. Bunkers have been totally redone and are great.
Finally
This course is finally reaching its potential. All the traps have been completely refinished. They were the one thing holding this course back due to they were unplayable. I recommend this course to all level handicaps and you will enjoy it.
