Fun track - not the best condition
It was very very dry and very very crusty. The greens were punched weeks ago, yet the holes were still there. Fairways were iffy at best and the rough was so dried out that it hadn’t been cut in weeks, but was not long or thick. Overall the layout is really awesome. It’s a short course and offers plenty of different shots. I would love to play it again when they have had time to get into peak shape
Enjoyed the course
This was an enjoyable course to play. We arrived early and were able to begin play prior to our tee time. The course is in good condition. The staff is friendly and accommodating.

Great Course. Challenging condition
Tiger's Eye is one of my favorite Myrtle Beach layouts. I have never had an issue with the course conditioning until this year. Many areas of the course were burned out, but the greens were in the worst condition ever. The ball was bouncing all over the green and did not roll true.
Thank you very much for the Four Star review of Tiger's Eye. It is definitely a great layout. The recent drought certainly has impacted the conditions during the transition period from spring to summer, but the recent rain has worked wonders already as the course has now completely broken dormancy and has greened up for the warm weather season. We hope you can come visit us again and see the improved conditions.
Terrible
Upon arrival at the check in I asked for practice balls and my cart. The man told me I could just carry my clubs 200 yards to the range and back and get my cart later. What kind of customer service is this with 90% humidity outside? The back nine was nothing but dead grass and dirt spots in the fairways and on the greens. They closed down everything early without telling the customers removing access to drinks and restrooms. During the hottest part of the day we were without anything to drink for nine holes.
Thank you for your patronage of Tiger's Eye. We apologize we fell short of your expectations on your most recent visit. As a general rule, we do not allow carts at our driving range because this range services 3 courses and does not have a dedicated parking area that could accommodate the volume of carts we would have there if we allowed each guest to drive a cart. Our cart path and access to the range would be completely blocked. We apologize for this inconvenience. The recent drought did impact the bermuda grass from fully breaking dormancy, but the recent rain has made a tremendous difference, as things have greened up considerable in the last couple of days. Now that the bermuda is out of dormancy, we should be nice and green for the warm weather season. We hope you will visit us again sometime and see our continued progress and improvement.
Tiger's Eye is a Gem
This is a great layout. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I love playing this course.

Nice layout
The course had a great layout, but it needed work. In my opinion, they have let conditions slip.

Staff was silver lining
Drove 2 hours to play this course based on photos and reviews. While the course was overall a 4/5 for condition, it did not wow me as expected. Every staff member we contacted was amazing to deal with, friendly and as accommodating as can be. My review is honestly based on expectations being a bit too high most likely.
Tigers Eye
Great greens and fairways a bit dry but not too bad. They need some rain since they have been in drought conditions. I heard that Tigers Eye is in the best condition of the Big Cat courses.

Thank you for your recent visit to Tiger's Eye. We appreciate your patronage. Now that the drought that has plagued our region is finally breaking, the courses are all looking much better and will improve quickly as the bermuda finally breaks dormancy and greens up. We hope you will come visit us again soon and see our progress.
Could not be more disappointed
Love the Cat courses and especially Tigers Eye, BUT apparently the owners are in a divorce conflict or they lost the irrigation system as the course is in terrible condition. Greens, fairways, rough sand traps all need work. Courses should be avoided until they figure it out. Premier layout and views … so sad they left it go so far downhill. Tons of cranky old men on staff that stand around talking to each other and making comments about golfers.
Thank you for taking the time to review your recent visit to Tiger's Eye. We deeply apologize we were unable to meet your expectations on this trip. Our area has been going through what has turned into a severe drought over the course of the spring and some courses were harder hit than others. Due to the extremely warm and dry conditions, our winter rye grass checked out early this year, before the warm season bermuda grass had broken dormancy, leaving us off color during this transition period. We are expecting some significant rainfall over the next few days, which will allow the bermuda grass to green up quickly and we should be nice and green all around as we move past this difficult drought period. We apologize again and hope you will come visit us again in the future and see our continued progress.
The course was beat up and the lady in the clubhouse was rude. Of all the courses in the Myrtle Beach area I chose the wrong one !! Never going back.
Work on the greens!
One would think that during a popular time of the year the greens would be inperfect shape but sadly, we played on rough greens with sprouted grass spots everywhere! Not what we expected in such a competitive golf area.

We have aggressively addressed the lingering Poa Annua that has plagued many bermuda greens courses in our area this spring and we have noticed that the results have been substantial in the past few days. It appears this issue will be completely resolved in the next few days and will no longer be of any concern as we move through 2022 and beyond.
