Leopard's Chase Golf Links at Ocean Ridge Plantation

I have played a lot of courses in Myrtle Beach and the surrounding area over the years and unfortunately I do not plan on golfing here again. The course itself was is good shape and well maintained but the single biggest issue I had was with the pin placements on many of the holes. I understand trying to make a course challenging but where they located the pins completely ruined the overall experience. The greens had a lot of rolling hills and on at least 5-6 holes they placed the pin right in the middle of the most pronounced down slope so there was absolutely no way to have a chance at making the putts for a normal golfer much less stop it anywhere close to the hole if you did miss the initial putt. To make matters worse, we crossed paths with the course marshall on 3 separate occasions during the round whole he was tracking/monitoring rate of play but we only saw the snack/drink cart on the 2nd hole and never again the rest of the round!

Nice layout but course could be in better shape.

Not much of a clubhouse. Played front 9 in 2:10 but back 9 was awful 1:20 for first 2 holes. Called the pro shop and they came out and only slightly improved.

With so many other courses to play would probably not play again.

Quite possibly the best course I’ve ever played. Luxurious carts but no GPS. No bar cart out, but it was mid week afternoon. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Very few people out playing, only caught group in front of us for last few holes. Tee to green like playing on carpet. Lots of sand and water but course was laid out such that unless you hit directly toward water the ball would stay in play. . Greens were in excellent condition and fast, rolled, and ran true. Definatly on the return list. Well worth the hour drive from Myrtle Beach.

The greens and fairways are in great shape. The layout and green complexes are fun and challenging. The staff is fantastic in the clubhouse and out front in the bag drop area, very friendly and personable. I have played all the Cats Courses multiple times and Leopards Chase is definitely my favorite!

Great condition golf course. Tea boxes are good. Fairways are good. Greens are very good. Sand in the bunkers comes from the beach. This is definitely the most difficult Cat course NOT for beginners.

Leopards chase is probably the best of the “big cats” courses it was in great condition and the greens faster than the other 2 we played. The back nine has a couple of tricky holes ( the 2 par fives) that you need to be careful at. We had a great day, the staff we’re really friendly.

We played Leopard’s Chase on Wednesday, March 25th, in the afternoon and were thoroughly impressed. The fairways were lush/green and the greens in excellent condition, clearly very well maintained. The course was pleasantly quiet, likely thanks to the midweek timing, which made for a relaxed round. Leopard’s Chase is a beautiful but challenging layout, with water and bunkers coming into play on many holes to test accuracy and strategy.

Course was hard. Lots of hazards and narrow fairways. A little difficult to navigate. Nice but won’t be a favorite.

Challenging course but fair. Would have apprieciated a Marshall on the back nine, pace of play got very slow.

Excellent overall conditions. Would go back in a heartbeat!!

I had a blast! The course was in great shape especially for March! Went out at 8 finished 18 by 11:30.

Played Leopard's Chase on a recommendation from a local player in North Myrtle Beach. The course was in great condition. Greens were fast and perfectly groomed. We were the 1st tee time of the day so pace of play was great. Highly recommend to anyone!

Had a beautiful Sunday afternoon on the course. The pace of play was great and the layout and challenge of the course was top notch

It was my first time at Leopard's Chase, but will definitely be going back.

Course was in excellent condition, greens were in awesome shape. Starters were great, talkative and enjoyed the time conversing. Only mark was the guy telling us our rider(not playing) “must stay in the cart and not get out” during the round. That itself is a joke. Other, coming back again soon.

The course played very narrow. Rough had been mowed down to the ground and the bunkers / waste areas were all hard packed so any off line shot just rolled out of play. Also, disappointed that there wasn;t a beverage cart the entire round. No water stations on the course either.
