Fun day
Played for the first time today. Have played the sister course tigers eye years ago. We had a good day from start to finish. Course layout was exceptional. Check in fella and the starter were very nice. Pace of play was not an issue but we played late morning 1000ish. Like most summer Myrtle beach courses the greens are slower than up north but that’s what your gonna get anywhere. They were nice. The fairways and greens also nice. It is not an easy course playing it for the first time. I’d say the 72 rating for the blue tees is a little low. We had guys on the gold white and blues. All six of us gave it a thumbs up. I’ve played almost all the good ones down here in my 40 years of summer vacations. So another off the list.

Great track
Fun course, layout was great looking. Fairways were in great shape. Had been aerated the week before so greens weren't quite back in shape yet, so putting was difficult. Otherwise, really enjoyed it.

Afternoon round
I was greeted by the starter upon arrival. He was the type of guy I wish every course had. He was friendly and very helpful. I played by myself and enjoyed the course very much, it was in terrific shape.

Beautiful tough course
First time playing the course. It was in excellent shape. Greens were very healthy but a little hard. I guess this is the second year after replacing them. They rolled very true and the course was very challenging but in great shape. A lot of water, and a lot of sand traps, but fun.

Waste of time
No sense of time management. More important to fill up every tee time and then some than to have guests actually enjoy their round of golf.
Let down
What a let down, from the first interaction with the staff in pro shop, to not being able to use the range or chipping areas, getting on the course and the first 3 holes having no pin. Tee boxes are god awful, fairways awful. Play over 100 rounds a year and would say this was one of my least favorite experiences in last few years.

Everyone was friendly, great layout, greens were very nice, fairways were well kept. Waste areas and bunkers were very inconsistent. Bunkers were rock hard, or super soft with too much sand, or super hard with a small amount of sand on top - no two bunkers were same condition. Same for waste areas, rock hard or super fluffy. Hard to hit out of them because of their inconsistency. Rest of the course was well maintained.

We apologize for the inconsistent conditions of the bunkers on the day you played. Several factors can contribute to this, most notably being recent weather. We are actually in the process of a major bunker renovation project and significant work will be done to the sand traps at all of The Big Cats courses during this procedure.
