About

Rolling Oaks is one of two championship courses at World Woods Golf Club. The layout offers something completely different from the renowned Pine Barrens course at the club, but it still offers the same amount of challenge and quality. The golf course is named after its landscape of rolling hills and forests of centuries old Oak trees draped with Spanish moss. Lush, rolling fairways lead to undulating greens that are protected by sharply defined, white sand bunkers. Water hazards come into play on three holes. The golf course has a traditional design but the dramatic elevation changes and picturesque landscape covered in azaleas, dogwoods, and magnolia trees really make it stand out. In addition to the two golf courses, World Woods also offers a nine-hole practice course and a circular, 20-acre driving range with target greens and practice bunkers.

This is me on one of the more difficult par 5's. If you play it and your a long ball, play it to the right fairway...You can make it...Lol.. Photo submitted by Robert5455343 on 11/16/2013

Great track, poor greens....
It’s a great course, but the damaged greens that were sanded made putting a little difficult especially since the putting green had perfect greens. Overall nice course.
Always good
Rolling Oaks is one of my favorites. The conditions are usually excellent and the layout is fun.
Course layout as always excellent and provides challenges from any teebox
Greens sub-par at Rolling Oaks
Winter lies prevalent expected this time of the year, but the big surprise was the greens.... nowhere close to the speed or conditions we are used to... few small patches and sand here and there on greens
Overall, a fair experience and looking forward to playing when conditions get better in 2-3 months
Good Couse To Play
Greens need some serious TLC. They are working on them. Rest of the course was fine.
Greens are horrible
Very disappointed to pay $70 and the greens be absolutely awful. Rest of the course is in good shape but any golfer knows that bad greens can ruin a course. Rolling Oaks greens need a lot of help. The majority of them are bare and do not roll well. I was concerned when I showed up and saw the condition of the practice green. Needless to say the practice green is probably in better shape. Normally this is a very nice course so I am shocked that they have lost the greens. Pine Barrens at double the price, (assuming the greens there are better) is probably worth the money. I have no plans of playing Rolling Oaks again unless I know the greens are in better shape. Disappointing.
Another great day in "The Woods"
Rolling Oaks is a great course to hit every club in your golf bag. So many good holes to keep you challenged. Some complain about the greens but they are just fine!! Freeze hurt them but Woods staff has them coming back as warm weather heals them up. Flowers, moss on trees, wild turkeys, grey squirrels help one's mind recover from any bogeys you take playing this challenging great course
Roll
Nice Course
Great Challenging Lay Out. Nice Sloping Greens. .Beauty Full View's.
Just ok
The course is beautiful and expensive! I’m sure glad I got in at a discount as too many of the greens were in horrific shape.
LAST PLAY BEFORE GOING NORTH
Course was not up to World Woods normal standards. Fairways need rain for growth. Greens were sanded to cover some problems.
Cold weather and the rolling oak
The type of grass used on this couldn’t sustain
the winter frost unlike it’s sister course..
I played the price was right and TT was readily available.. The layout is terrific unfortunately the greens looked like aeration had just been done the fairways and greens had a lot of bare spots...
The next day we played the pine barrens course much better we played 36 there..
In general the cost of getting there and 2 nights at the hotel we’re really not worth it..
I think someone with money should take it over and invest in the facility complete overhaul is necessary.. restaurant and pro shop is from sometime in the last century.
Greens were in terrible shape and aerated without warning!
Disappointed
Heard great things about this place. Course condition was ok but bunkers were not raked and no rakes (COVID) but the greens were very poor. Not sure what happened but would not have played if I had know the conditions. Pace of play was great, no one if front or behind us. Maybe conditions played a roll. Went to get drinks before round but clubhouse had nothing. Told cart girls might have something. Did not see cart girl until back nine.
Not worth the money!
Unfortunately for this course, the negatives far outweigh the positives. Some fairways were so far gone they were practically dirt. Greens had several bad spots. Great layout, they just need to water and take care of the place. Definitely NOT worth $120!!!
Layout is great, but conditions are really bad
The location is a bit far of everything, nice but be prepared to drive among several local roads. The course layout is great, conditions on greens and fairways very bad, seems like a good program to recover the location is needed ASAP.
Bad Greens
Great layout, but this course got hit with frost a few weeks back and most of the greens are in bad shape at this time. Big disappointment.
Shame
The course was run down greens were almost unplayable you could not get a 20ft putt to the hole very slow greens and there wasn't that much grass on them. The price is is double what it should have been for the condition
. Was a nice course years back
Great track...greens are a bit thin
A great layout in decent shape. The greens are a little thin, but still roll fine. Complex is worth the drive!
