Rolling Oaks is one of two championship courses at World Woods Golf Club. The layout offers something completely different from the renowned Pine Barrens course at the club, but it still offers the same amount of challenge and quality. The golf course is named after its landscape of rolling hills and forests of centuries old Oak trees draped with Spanish moss. Lush, rolling fairways lead to undulating greens that are protected by sharply defined, white sand bunkers. Water hazards come into play on three holes. The golf course has a traditional design but the dramatic elevation changes and picturesque landscape covered in azaleas, dogwoods, and magnolia trees really make it stand out. In addition to the two golf courses, World Woods also offers a nine-hole practice course and a circular, 20-acre driving range with target greens and practice bunkers.

Layout great, fairways were good. Green speed good but had a lot of bare spots. Looking gyro playing it again in a few weeks.
Rolling Oaks course layout and all World Woods surrondings are fantastic
Right now this course is getting beat up by the condition of their greens, golfers get over because they still putt much better then the all the rest of courses I have played this past week except one. These greens got hurt by bad frost a couple times, but they are working hard on them, if you know anything about golf course maintenance., you can recognize this. The speed of the greens are great, they roll out! Most greens in the area are so stinking slow and don't roll out, way more frustrating. Plus Rolling Oaks green are soft and bite when you hit into them. Enjoy these two layouts Each hole provides beauty and great eye appeal. Each hole has unique eye appeal and lots of different vegetation. Birds and small animals are worth taking a minute or two to enjoy. With no houses around, the quiet surroundings is so special compared to almost all other courses in the greater Tampa area, Set up a tee time, seek a special price with afternoon play and the World Woods experience will keep you coming back again and again, I forgot to mention all the people who helped me check in and cart services were friendly and made us feel they wanted to take care of our needs. Thank you World Woods for being a very enjoyable experience. And by moving up a set of tees made our day even more enjoyable.
Worst Disappointment at World Woods Ever
In fairness, they warned me the greens had suffered some frost damage, but would probably be recovering by the time we played. I received an e-mail special rate of $50 each to make up for it (they will always remind you they are normally $119 this time of year).
We agreed it may have been worth $25, but probably not. The greens were basically unplayable, and it took close to five hours to get around. They seem to live on their reputation here, and people come from all over (see $119 rate), but WW is getting a little long in the tooth.
Cart paths are broken to pieces with root heaving, the entrance drive now looks like you are driving into a run down facility, and course conditions are starting to slide. Don’t get me wrong, I still love coming here, and I sincerely hope it gets better.
For now though, you are likely to come away like I did: disappointed and a little sad.
Worst greens ever
Should close the course greens are more dirt than grass
Greens terrible
Greens were destroyed by frost in January
Like putting on sandy dirt. Very disappointed
Hopefully they will get them back in shape...
very nice layout
Best bang for the buck
Make the trip up up...u will not be disappointed! Barrens is as good as it gets, Rolling has green issues but still a great layout and roll good.
Fun course greens need a lot of work.
They lost the greens to frost and freezing they have a way to go to fix them.
H2
Great layout. Greens had some bare spots. Fairways were good. A lot of elevated greens. Well bunkered. Loved the par 3s
Greens fair
The greens were not in perfect shape like they usually are as they had a problem with the freeze and haven't come back to 100% yet somewhat spotty and didn't roll really good.
Greens very poor dead and slow.
The course may have been good many years ago but now this course is awful the conditions are deteriorating rapidly the greens are in bad condition. The cart paths or broken and no maintenance has been done on this course for many years...The bunkers were not taken care of and we’re washed out. Don’t be fooled. Avoid it at all costs it’s not worth the money
Greens are toast
Obviously great track. Greens got fungus a lot are gone
Not worth a 100. !!!!! To play
too long for front tees
greens were not good bumpy and slow lots of bad spots on greens
You need to play other course the greens are bad they are so slow you cant even putt them and the price for this condition of course is way over priced
