Rolling Oaks is one of two championship courses at World Woods Golf Club. The layout offers something completely different from the renowned Pine Barrens course at the club, but it still offers the same amount of challenge and quality. The golf course is named after its landscape of rolling hills and forests of centuries old Oak trees draped with Spanish moss. Lush, rolling fairways lead to undulating greens that are protected by sharply defined, white sand bunkers. Water hazards come into play on three holes. The golf course has a traditional design but the dramatic elevation changes and picturesque landscape covered in azaleas, dogwoods, and magnolia trees really make it stand out. In addition to the two golf courses, World Woods also offers a nine-hole practice course and a circular, 20-acre driving range with target greens and practice bunkers.

Don't do it

For the price one pays you would expect decent conditions. Needed a sledgehammer on these greens . Disappointed to say the least. If you have a lengthy drive Don't do it !

Green are disgraceful

I’ve played both courses at World Woods. Both great lay outs. However paid $60 to play Rolling Oaks yesterday. Not one green was in good condition. All greens had areas of dead grass on them. Very disappointing

Poor Green Conditions

I’ve played many rounds at both Rolling Oaks and Pine Barrens. The conditions have always been superb.

However... the greens on Rolling Oaks are abysmal currently. A recent frost played havoc with the conditions, and even though they are charging a reduced rate, it is not worth the drive to play a course with Hellenes in such awful shape.

As a side note.....be very mindful while driving on the cart paths. There are enough potholes and upheaval made by the roots of the pine trees that is more then likely you may loose a filling if you hit one of those craters. Be aware.

If you’re considering playing Rolling Oaks in the near future, my advice is to wait. It is just plainly not worth your time or money in its current state.

It will be good, just needs time

Keep in mind it was around March 14th when we played, but the greens were atrocious. They didn't overseed, and they will get much better. We were warned before we teed off to expect this.

I would hold off on playing Rolling Oaks until the second or third week of April for the greens to be in the condition you would expect.

Otherwise, the course is in good shape for the season and the layout is phenomenal.

Great layout. Neglected.

I think there is a lot of potential. I know they had a fungus and frost issue on the greens and I gave the pass on that(it happens), but ignoring the greens I'd still only give it 2 stars for upkeep. It's a shame.

Terrible Condition, way overpriced

We had 1 goal and that was to play a nice course. We were told this was a nice track and we drove 1.5 hours to play it. The fairways were weedy, unkept, and full of divots. The greens were damaged no fun to putt. The day was a huge disappointment.

Work in progress

I played the Rolling Oaks course @ World Woods Golf Club. The greens had severe frost damage and were sanded. The fairways were in fair condition. The tee boxes were nice with over-sead. Their other course, Pine Barrens was obviously the better maintained of the courses and more heavily played. I think the locals knew this and were playing that course. I would like to play this course again maybe in the fall when the course recovers from winter damage. I do feel the Pine Barrens course is a better and more interesting layout however.

Worst greens in central florida

Most grass on any of 18 greens was 20%. Completely moss or sand covered. Totally unacceptable for the price. Play Pine Barrons, the other course in the grounds.

Great course layout

The greens almost unplayable. Management needs to consider closing this course until green are restored. Sad because fairways are in good condition.

Rough greens

They lost the greens during some of the winter frost. Should get better when the Bermuda start growing aggressively this spring. Hopefully it gets back to previous years conditions. Pine Barrens is in awesome condition.

Rolling Oaks

Beautiful course, but challenging, greens weren't in the best shape but you can expect that in the winter to spring transition. Highly recommend it to anyone who wants to test their skill set.

Bad fairways and bad greens

We played both courses today. The Pine course was amazing. Rolling Oaks has a great layout with a ton of potential. However, the fairways were rough and the greens were simply terrible. My son and I were pretty disappointed based on what we had heard and world woods. Fortunately, the other course lived up to the hype.
