Rolling Oaks is one of two championship courses at World Woods Golf Club. The layout offers something completely different from the renowned Pine Barrens course at the club, but it still offers the same amount of challenge and quality. The golf course is named after its landscape of rolling hills and forests of centuries old Oak trees draped with Spanish moss. Lush, rolling fairways lead to undulating greens that are protected by sharply defined, white sand bunkers. Water hazards come into play on three holes. The golf course has a traditional design but the dramatic elevation changes and picturesque landscape covered in azaleas, dogwoods, and magnolia trees really make it stand out. In addition to the two golf courses, World Woods also offers a nine-hole practice course and a circular, 20-acre driving range with target greens and practice bunkers.

nice day
Staff was great. Layout had some challenges but was fair. They did advise that some of the greens were still recovering from the frost so that honestly was refreshing.
Usually nice. Greens not good
World Woods has 2 beautiful courses. We played Rolling Oaks today. Usually a very nice course and layout. The greens had bare spots and were bumpy. Not good. The sign in the pro shop said they hoped by mid April they would be better. They weren't. I understand things happen but you should tell people before and adjust your price accordingly. The greens were very slow and bumpy.
Great course
Love the layout, can be difficult from back Tee position. Greens need TLC.
Always a treat
Rolling Oaks is a pleasure that never really disappoints. Yes, the greens are still recovering, and there are a couple that aren’t going to give a good roll. But the turf is in good shape, tee boxes are fine, and it’s every bit the challenge as ever. I can understand some of the comments earlier this year where paying winter fees for dead greens would’ve been upsetting. New carts are a nice update, as the prior generation were definitely on their last legs. Started the round cart path only due to weekend storms, but as it was later in afternoon the course had dried and ranger permitted 90 degree cart use. Little over 3 hours to get around.
Greens
Course is in good condition except for the greens. Greens are slow and bumpy due to winter freeze.
Rough greens
The whether has had a toll on the greens and most bunkers. Course is no where near the usual great condition. I would give it a few months to recover before playing it again.
Disappointed
For a premiere course, greens where in rough shape. Could play other courses for 1/3 the price and get same conditions.
The other annoying thing, rangers stop and check your receit , pro shop doesnt tell you to hold on to it as you will be checked. Do people take golf carts and play?
Looked forward to playing course, top 100 public course, hmmm I think not.
Great cousev in our backyard
Great round today through 16 holes. Last two rained out. Couse in great condition except for a bit of the greens. They said there were some issues with the greens because of the frost earlier in the year. But I have to say. Still better than most the courses we play.
A must play
Been wanting to play Rolling Oaks for a while now and decided to visit since the last cold front came through making the weather perfect. The price to play here and the condition of course is not something that can be beat, the only complaint I have is that the greens were a bit rough because the winter grass was dying and the summer grass was coming in. I can give this place a solid 4/5 and it would be a 5/5 if the greens were a bit better. I can definitely say I will be coming back to either play Rolling Oaks again or Pine Barrens, and I recommend you get out to World Woods and play there too the price and course condition make it a bargain you shouldn't pass up.
Rolling oaks
Course layout and fairways were in great shape. The greens were in terrible shape! I believe we should of been told what the conditions of the green were before we paid the money we did. Way to expensive to play on dried out cracked greens. Need to spend some of the money we paid on the greens!
Beautiful
The layout of Rolling Oaks is beautiful. It has lush green fairways with moderately difficult short rough, and not an over abundance of deep rough or woods. The greens were not the best, but there had been a frost, which killed some of the grass. The staff were in the process of repairing them. It was a well kept course. we thoroughly enjoyed playing it.
Sorry
Sorry I used free round
Greens were the worst I seen
Started did say frost hurt them
That should be stated
Greens aren't great
They warn you that the greens are not in the best shape. They're right. Slow, bumpy with bare patches.
Other than that, the rest of the course is in great shape. We were practically alone on the course so we took our time and had a great round.
Thanks to Golfnow, the greens fee was reasonable. We would play Rolling Oak again.
Greens bad shspe
The fairways and traps are in good shape. No rakes available. Greens are bad. Slow with many bare spots. Starter told me greens suffered frost damage several times. They are working to restore greens.
World Woods never disappoints
Best two (2) Golf Courses in Florida . King is King .. Rolling Oaks and Pine Barrons at World Woods . Some of the greens on Rolling Oaks are still frost freezed from February however the course is still magnificent . Played Westchase and Saddlebrook and World Woods is still #1 . Westchase is #2 and Saddlebrook-Saddlebrook is #3 . Lake Jovita is #4 . All others are mediocre at best except Brooksville Country Club who is #5 in the Tampa Bay region for Public Courses .
Make no mistake ... these are your ONLY choices .. unless you go Private !
The greens were in terrible condition and impossible to putt. The course has a good layout and very challenging.PACE of play was good and I would definitely play again and recommend a friend but the greens need work .
Very professional staff and excellent pace of play.
Great place with friendly staff. Excellent fairways and bunkers and tee boxes. Greens were coming back from a frost but were still playable. The staff informed us prior to the payment which is great as well. Price is a little high but understand. Course and staff very friendly and professional. We weren’t rushed and pace of play was outstanding.
