Cypress Point Country Club is conveniently located within minutes of the Norfolk International Airport and the Virginia Beach Town Center. Despite its accessibility, the golf course feels peacefully isolated, making it a great choice for golfers who are looking for the convenience of a city course with the pace and beauty of the countryside. It's a layout that is as challenging as it is scenic with strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides and fairways. The occasional water hazard also comes into play. The golf course will challenge players of all skill levels but it's not overly punishing for high handicappers. Beginners will still be able to enjoy a round at Cypress Point Country Club. Besides the course, the club is also popular for its practice facility, which has a driving range and chipping and putting greens.

Fun Course!
Greens are in great shape, soft and hold. We again finished in under four hours.
Very good!!
This course was the second course of 4 and it was by far the best. Course was well taken care of from tee to green. Practice area was a great place to warm up in. Greens rolled true! If I had to complain about one thing and that was no starter and you just went when open tee box.
Cypress Point
I have played this course over a 100 times since it opened in the eighties. The design is a good test of your golf skill. The greens are lush, but slow. They are getting a lot of play and the players are not fixing their ball marks on the par threes. They have recently refilled their bunkers, so beware of the fluffy lies in the bunker.
The golf course can improve the experience by filling the sand bottles on the carts, providing towels in the carts and checking their on course bathrooms. One of the on course bathrooms has needed a new lightbulb for a month.
Overall, it was a good experience and a great value.

We were a foursome and finished 18 under four hours. Excellent!
Nice Course
Cypress Point has a very nice layout. Pace of play was poor….5 hours on a Friday mid morning. Course is extremely dry and many fairway surfaces were rock hard. I do, however, really enjoy the course and would recommend playing if u can cope with some of the deficiencies.

nicest course in the area, greens were average but playable. The layout has some trouble you can get into but not overly long.
Don't despair.
We were joined by two other players so don't count on playing alone. We waited on every Tee Box but still finished in four hours.
No Change
This is the same result as my last review. In addition, we were a twosome playing between a threesome nad a foursome. We completed just under four hours. Pace of play is very good, and greens hold well
Needs water
The fairways are burnt in many spots and often very hard packed. The range is struggling in the same way. The course definitely needs more TLC / watering especially in a drought
Excellent but slow
Pace of play was excruciatingly slow. Loved the course but quit after 3 hour front nine.
One of the best in town
This is probably the best course in town for the price. The carts are super nice and comfortable, the course is in fantastic condition, and it's not over crowded during the week. It's a challenging layout, some tight technical holes, some long yet fairly open ones as well. Just a great course for the money.
