Cypress Point Country Club is conveniently located within minutes of the Norfolk International Airport and the Virginia Beach Town Center. Despite its accessibility, the golf course feels peacefully isolated, making it a great choice for golfers who are looking for the convenience of a city course with the pace and beauty of the countryside. It's a layout that is as challenging as it is scenic with strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides and fairways. The occasional water hazard also comes into play. The golf course will challenge players of all skill levels but it's not overly punishing for high handicappers. Beginners will still be able to enjoy a round at Cypress Point Country Club. Besides the course, the club is also popular for its practice facility, which has a driving range and chipping and putting greens.

Good value
Played early morning round in less than 4 hours. Course was in great shape especially the greens. Will play again.
One of my favorites
Extremely well-maintained course. Has become my favorite in the area for the price range.
Good value for money but avoid weekends
Course was in pretty good shape. Greens were extremely slow and pace of play on the Sunday was slow. We quit after nine and got a nine hole rain check for the next day, a Monday. Monday was great. They let us start on the back and pace of play was great. Much much less volume of golfers on a Monday.
Absolute blast
The course was in terrific shape. The greens were well maintained and.fairwaya and bunkers we're in good shape as well. Definitely a pleasure playing and the pace of play wasn't bad at all either.
6.5 hour round
pace of play was tough. Course is a fun design and green complexes are cool but the waits made for a slow day.
Great Round on a Beautiful Friday
Overall, another great experience at Cypress Point. The greens were punched, but that was the only downside to a wonderful round of golf. Pace of play was excellent and the staff was pleasant as always.
Course is great
Good layout. Long off the white (for me!). About 6200+. So to me it’s a good value since I get more strokes per hole ha. great clubhouse. It has Cozy feel to it. Driving range and putting/chipping area for warm up or practice.
Grood layout and staff
Good overall experience. Early season conditions so difficult to rate. Would like to replay in peak season.
Decent squeeze-in round
Was expecting green conditions after playing in NJ the past couple weeks on surprisingly healthy grass, but the Bermuda is still dormant here at Cypress and there’s not enough of it to cover the course. Frequent bare spots allot the grounds and few fairways have dense-enough turf to elevate the ball off the underlying hard pan mud. I may be ignorant with my expectations of healthier grass, but the situation was exacerbated by the dozens of lush, green lawns that surround the houses bordering the course.
The course design is fine. Quite a few narrow tee shots, especially on the par 5’s, which elevates the tension. The par 3 17th is an aesthetic, heroic hole. But the best holes in my opinion are the few short par 4’s, which tempt you to play the greedy shot but punish anything other than excellence. Even the mid-short second shot, if one decides to layup conservatively, is interesting due to the tucked, slanted greens.
The greens are in good shape, the driving range is a welcome plus, and the practice putting green in front of the clubhouse is a repeated design choice I approve of. I also appreciated the food offerings in the grill-room. But the conditions are currently disappointing, and the many former sand bunkers that have been filled in, which I believe make the course less interesting, seem to indicate financial issues that makes one worry about the future of the course. With some tender-loving-care, Cypress could be a fun little club. Hopefully the imminent warmth will provide the spark needed to liven up the place enough to quell concerns.
Golf on 3/7
Hard to give the course a top rating because it us still winter season. Greens were in great shape. I would like to play this course in high season. I think it would be spectacular
