Cypress Point Country Club
About
Cypress Point Country Club is conveniently located within minutes of the Norfolk International Airport and the Virginia Beach Town Center. Despite its accessibility, the golf course feels peacefully isolated, making it a great choice for golfers who are looking for the convenience of a city course with the pace and beauty of the countryside. It's a layout that is as challenging as it is scenic with strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides and fairways. The occasional water hazard also comes into play. The golf course will challenge players of all skill levels but it's not overly punishing for high handicappers. Beginners will still be able to enjoy a round at Cypress Point Country Club. Besides the course, the club is also popular for its practice facility, which has a driving range and chipping and putting greens.

Nice but not recommended for average players
If you are a good golfer with great control of your shots by all
Means try this course, if you are like many golfers don’t. The reason being is that the course goes through a residential neighborhood with house very close to the fairways. There are numerous signs and warnings that any wayward shots that cause damage will be the players fault. Fair enough but there are no precautions, netting, etc. if you have a slice, then chances are great you will have some close calls. So unless you are a good to great player this is not a course to learn on or tryout.
The overall course is nice and the difficulty is medium. Overall a nice course with a relatively higher cost that compatible courses in the Hampton roads area.
Cold wet day
In all respect to the course, it’s winter , it was real wet and cold as could be. I have played this course many times in season a great track. The staff was very kind and helpful!!
Great course Great value
Played on Thanksgiving day the course was in great shape would definitely choose to play here again
Cypress Pointe
A fun course to practice your game! Not real fancy but well maintained and a great layout.
1st timer on the course
It was cold and rainy and I only played the front nine due to the weather, but it’s a great course. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice clubhouse and bar.
What a way to waste a Beautiful day!!!!!!
Well, I will give the course itself and it's conditions a great review. Other than that, I do not see myself playing here again. First of all, why are courses no longer utilizing Marshalls? We teed off at 8:31am, a little later than scheduled. OK, I can handle that. By the Second tee box we already had a back up! Going to the third tee the group in front of us said "Gonna be a long day" with a smile on their face. Why is that acceptable???
Golf should not take over 5 hours, especially early on a Friday morning! The guy behind the counter was dry and seemed less the ecstatic to be their.
Here is a suggestion, for ALL courses! Offer free golf to anyone that wants to volunteer as a Marshall. With all the new people getting into golf, after Covid, someone needs to teach then edicate! Fix ball marks, rake bunkers, play in 4 hours or less. Nobody is putting for a million dollars. It sucks!!!
Great course
Good range. Great condition. Friendly staff. Good food. Almost made a 1 on #11
Always reliable.
This course is always reliable and well maintained. I played as a single today so I expected it to be a little slow. Still it was not too bad. I took the opportunity to try different shots with 2 balls since I had plenty of time. I only played 1 ball when the group behind me caught up. The groups in front of me only played 9 holes so the back was a lot faster.
