Cypress Point Country Club
About
Cypress Point Country Club is conveniently located within minutes of the Norfolk International Airport and the Virginia Beach Town Center. Despite its accessibility, the golf course feels peacefully isolated, making it a great choice for golfers who are looking for the convenience of a city course with the pace and beauty of the countryside. It's a layout that is as challenging as it is scenic with strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides and fairways. The occasional water hazard also comes into play. The golf course will challenge players of all skill levels but it's not overly punishing for high handicappers. Beginners will still be able to enjoy a round at Cypress Point Country Club. Besides the course, the club is also popular for its practice facility, which has a driving range and chipping and putting greens.

Golf on 3/7
Hard to give the course a top rating because it us still winter season. Greens were in great shape. I would like to play this course in high season. I think it would be spectacular
Classy GC in midst of Winter Blues
A cold windy day did not deter our enjoyable day at this semi-private, well cared course. Fairways were firm and not muddy. Greens were impeccably maintained and played a good mix of newly sanded bunkers, absence of Rough periphery, and water hazards in Back 9.
Definitely a good bet when temperatures drop <10C and you want to keep your feet dry.
Room for improvement
Range needs major attention, essentially hitting off dirt. Several greens ruined by divots left unrepaired. Bunkers hard packed
Best course in the area for the price
Course was in great condition even for the off-season. Greens were a little beat up but in good shape otherwise. Last 3 holes are incredibly scenic.
Nice but not recommended for average players
If you are a good golfer with great control of your shots by all
Means try this course, if you are like many golfers don’t. The reason being is that the course goes through a residential neighborhood with house very close to the fairways. There are numerous signs and warnings that any wayward shots that cause damage will be the players fault. Fair enough but there are no precautions, netting, etc. if you have a slice, then chances are great you will have some close calls. So unless you are a good to great player this is not a course to learn on or tryout.
The overall course is nice and the difficulty is medium. Overall a nice course with a relatively higher cost that compatible courses in the Hampton roads area.
Cold wet day
In all respect to the course, it’s winter , it was real wet and cold as could be. I have played this course many times in season a great track. The staff was very kind and helpful!!
Great course Great value
Played on Thanksgiving day the course was in great shape would definitely choose to play here again
Cypress Pointe
A fun course to practice your game! Not real fancy but well maintained and a great layout.
