Cypress Point Country Club
About
Cypress Point Country Club is conveniently located within minutes of the Norfolk International Airport and the Virginia Beach Town Center. Despite its accessibility, the golf course feels peacefully isolated, making it a great choice for golfers who are looking for the convenience of a city course with the pace and beauty of the countryside. It's a layout that is as challenging as it is scenic with strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides and fairways. The occasional water hazard also comes into play. The golf course will challenge players of all skill levels but it's not overly punishing for high handicappers. Beginners will still be able to enjoy a round at Cypress Point Country Club. Besides the course, the club is also popular for its practice facility, which has a driving range and chipping and putting greens.

Nice course
Nice course. Fairways and green are in great shape. Best course I've played in the area this year. Not long but nice layout
Don’t go as a single
Great course, good challenge. Just don’t go as a single. Fifth time playing this course , 3 x a single. Members NEVER let faster groups play through. Played as a threesome this round and pride slowed play. Ready golf is not a thing here. Staff is excellent,as are facilities. Just expect slow play
Great Course
Large, open, and well kept. Loved it. I was sent out to meet with another that scheduled a tee time same as me. However I was not told the group had not checked in yet and was sent on a wild goose chase looking for a group. Made me late for my tee time and caused me to miss the first four holes. Partly my fault, but could’ve went differently. Still a great experience
Very Good Experience
For late March, the course was in good shape. Putting was a little unpredictable. Although I thought I had the line, the ball would move at the last second. Maybe the greens needed to be rolled, or I just need to putt better, probably the latter.
Slow play
Course is in very bad shape. Fairways are bare and greens are very slow. Pace of play was dreadful. 3 hours for front nine and then quit.
Bad customer service
If it weren’t for the gentleman Dale we played our last 9 holes with I would’ve rated this course a 1 star. The starter/ranger was not allowing for a friend of mine to receive some pointers at THE FIRST TEE box and I quote “I don’t have time for lessons ladies.” Meanwhile our pace of play was MAINTAINED the entire time, we were even up other people’s butts! They are losing out on a lot of business by having EMPLOYEES who don’t respect WOMEN who golf. I have been playing since a teen, have worked at many prestige country clubs in the East Coast and this has by far been the WORST customer service I have every received at a “Country Club”
Really nice course
While the grass was dormant it was still there. While the front is close to homes and roads it was a fun course to play. Really like the back much better the holes 1-9.
Good Course
For an early spring day with the grass still dormant it was a good course to play back was a bit of a challenge but a fun day.
Spring golf
Left the snow in western Virginia to warmer weather in VA Beach area. Fun course with good mix of long and short par 4’s. Bermuda grass still dormant but course still very playable
very good conditions for Feb.
Bunkers were excellent. Greens were quick and in good shape. Driving range was beat up, no grass, just dirt/mud. Good location for those visiting VA beach.
Fun day
Busy semi public/private course. Played after month of winter weather and course was very playable and good pace of play
