Cypress Point Country Club is conveniently located within minutes of the Norfolk International Airport and the Virginia Beach Town Center. Despite its accessibility, the golf course feels peacefully isolated, making it a great choice for golfers who are looking for the convenience of a city course with the pace and beauty of the countryside. It's a layout that is as challenging as it is scenic with strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides and fairways. The occasional water hazard also comes into play. The golf course will challenge players of all skill levels but it's not overly punishing for high handicappers. Beginners will still be able to enjoy a round at Cypress Point Country Club. Besides the course, the club is also popular for its practice facility, which has a driving range and chipping and putting greens.

Great Staff
They were able to let me go 30 mins early which was good due to up coming rain. Greens in good shape, fairways typical for dormant Bermuda grass. Always a pleasure to play this course
Outstanding
The condition of the course was outstanding. The greens were in great shape. The staff was courteous and well organized. I have played this course several times and always enjoy the outing.

Nice green
Nicest greens I've played all year, tee time at 2:40 and had to have the cart back by 5:15 so we only got in 14 holes but it is a very nice course I just wouldn't book a tee time after 1:00
This course has great greens and premier condition.
Excellent course in good shape, especially the greens. Small Pro Shop, and the staff is friendly. Played during the week in 4 hours. Plan to play again. May have been a country club at one time since the facility has a large pool and tennis courts in addition to golf.
Excellent condition for this time of the Year
The Course has a varied mixture of layouts on the holes and with a beautiful sourranding in a calm district of Virginia Beach. A few water holes but with both risk and rewards for the one who will go for the Pin. The greens were fast although a couples were a little "hoppy". Fairway smooth and the ruff is easy searched for " lost" balls. Fast and welcoming staff make a day easy on this course together with well serviced Carts.
Cypress Point - 10/28/2014
Low 80's for the end of October. Perfect day. Fairways were cut just right, the rough was not to bad and the greens were moderate in speed.
Great condition
Great staff and love this place. Picked up tee time quickly but pace was alittle slow. Had some local members behind us who tried to rush us but due to slow play ahead had to deal with it for 18 holes. Shot a 76 and enjoyed my round course played nice and Greens were above expected balls checked nice and spin rate was excellent.
Front side twice
Overall the course was in good shape it wasn't until I checked in that I was informed that the backside was closed for maintenance. Had I known and not already locked into the tee time I would have booked elsewhere or gone elsewhere when informed. If half the course is closed, why would you charge the same rate that is usually on golf now. These things should be listed on golf now to keep from being locked into a full tee time on half a course.
More than expected
This course was much more than expected and really enjoyable.

perfect day
I played Cypress Point on a Sunday morning. The pace of play was fine. The group in front of us a foursome could have let us (a threesome) play thru since it was clear sailing, but they didn't. Still finishedIin 4 hours. Course was great. I read reviews that greens were slow (which I hate), but today they were fine. I am going to guess 10 on the stimp meter. I have nothing but good to say about this course. Cart girl came around at least 5 times, and people were repairing their own ball marks. I will definitely be back.
Cypress Point, love this course
Cypress is always in great shape, the course is laid our well and provides challenges for al level of play. I'm never disappointed and will return soon.
Best Course We Played in the VA Beach Area
My husband and I played six courses during our stay in VA Beach and this was by far the nicest of all. Wide fairways, moderately challenging. Totally enjoyed our round.
Long and tight
Nice course!! Everything in great shape . Nice greens..not fast, but true. Not a course to have slice/hook tendencies in your game. Played in 3.5 hours.
The course was in great condition with the exception of the very slow greens.
I played as a single, the staff paired me up as I requested. With the exception of the very slow greens, the course was in great shape. The pace of play was great even though there was no ranger on the course. I will play this course again the next time I am in Virginia Beach.
Great conditions
I have played Cypress Pt many times over the past 25 years. This time the condition of the golf course was excellent. The greens were pristine, although a little slower than in the spring. The fellow on the tractor cutting the grass when we played 18 even paused for us to hit our shots. (This was not always the case.) Jonathan Faw is an excellent addition to the staff.
Best Course Around for the price
This was my second time playing here and I will play here as much as I can. What a great course.
