Cypress Point Country Club

About
Cypress Point Country Club is conveniently located within minutes of the Norfolk International Airport and the Virginia Beach Town Center. Despite its accessibility, the golf course feels peacefully isolated, making it a great choice for golfers who are looking for the convenience of a city course with the pace and beauty of the countryside. It's a layout that is as challenging as it is scenic with strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides and fairways. The occasional water hazard also comes into play. The golf course will challenge players of all skill levels but it's not overly punishing for high handicappers. Beginners will still be able to enjoy a round at Cypress Point Country Club. Besides the course, the club is also popular for its practice facility, which has a driving range and chipping and putting greens.

Beautiful public course to play on vacation
Played this course for the first time while on vacation from PA. We've played several other courses here for years and am very glad we found this course now. Will be holding here a lot. Greens are amazing. Fairways and rough kept neat. Tee boxes are perfect.
Absolutely awesome course
Fun track tee to green...let the front warm you up for the back 9.....Great shape tee to green with friendly staff. Wish I could play again...Heading home.
Enjoyable course
The course was in good shape. Enjoyed playing there. Pro shop staff were helpful and friendly. Only downside was it was a little slow. No ranger on course to move the group in front of us along. There were 2 open holes in front of them. Didnt ruin the day but could have finished much sooner
Worth the Money
The course is a higher end public course with membership optional and their member pricing is actually reasonable, if you play at least 6 times a month the membership maybe worth it. However you do have to still pay seperately for range balls and cart. The conditions was good, close to what I would consider excellent, but with the amount of rain in the past couple of months, they did a good job maintaining the course. The course layout is fun, I would say it's perfect for beginners like myself and more intermediate players as well. Majority of the PAR 4's you don't really have to use your driver. Overall, the quality for the price is definitely worth it. The course is built within a neighborhood, so if you are one to have severe slices or hooks, this may not be the course for you. They were a little limited on staff so getting beverages and snacks did take some time.
Enjoyable Course
Played in 3 hrs and 50 min. Course in good shape.
It Was Saturday
The title should tell it all. Many nongolfers on the course, hitting more than one shot. We played in just over 5 hours. Very painful but I guess you have to expect that on Saturday.
Great Shape
The course is in great shape. It is a challenging course but not so difficult to cause any frustration.
Very well maintained and serious course.
The only complaint I had for this round was the group ahead of us. They were extremely slow and our round took right at 4 1/2 hours.
I haven’t played this course in over a year. It was a pleasure to be back. This course creates some nice challenges and is very well kept. Sand traps could use a little help.
Won’t hesitate to go back!!
Cart Path Only
The title tells the story. We waited on every hole.
Exceedingly Beautiful Course
I’m not a big golfer, my brother-in-law loves the sport and golf’s all over the world. My wife had mentioned something about the last few times he had been golfing while vacationing here that he wasn’t that impressed. I figured I had to represent so I did a little Internet research and asked a couple locals, Cyprus happened to be the perfect course on the perfect day, we had a blast, our outfits were immaculate, and all was well in the world for about four hours. Well done!
