About
Nestled at the base of the San Jacinto Mountains, Indian Canyons Golf Resort offers two championship courses with stunning views. The two golf courses, North and South, have completely different layouts but they are both sheltered from the wind thanks to the surrounding mountains. The South Course is the shorter of the two, making it the more player-friendly course. That is not to say it is not a challenge though. The rolling fairways are framed by contoured mounding and four expansive lakes come into play on six holes. The par 5s are particularly memorable. There are also well over 1,300 palm trees throughout the golf course, which includes hundreds of Washingtonia filifera palms. These trees are native to the Agua Caliente Tribe and an important part of their history.

Fun Course
Everything was really nice about this course although the greens were a bit slow. Staff was nice, pace of play was good, very enjoyable round. it was Cart path only due to recent over seeding but was not an issue
Beautiful course
Course was in excellent condition. Pace of play was fantastic. My only complaint is the greens were slow. Otherwise a very solid track with a lot of great views.
If it’s cart path only, go somewhere else
We were told it would be cart path only after booking the tee time. Although the reason given was “wet conditions,” there were no wet conditions evident on the course. The fairways are generous and wide, but on a cart path only day, that turned a round of golf on a beautiful, well-designed course into a 4+ hour slog. To add insult to injury, the “player assistant” hovered around the whole time urging us to play faster even though we were waiting most of the day on the group ahead of us and the group behind us was never made to wait. So I’d recommend that this beautiful course is not the best play on a cart path only day. Save your $125 for a better day.
Well laid out course
Just enough sand, water and trees to make this course challenging yet fun to play. Was in great condition which made it a comfortable ride!
Great condition, nice staff, super fast pace of play.
Got paired with three random people but they were super. Everything is out in front of you and generous landing areas. Got off early and played in just under 3 hours. Would play again for sure.
Great track
They are due to over seed soon. The greens were a little beat up, some bare spots but nothing to really ruin anything. They still rolled fast and fair. Fairways were pretty fast too. I look forward to the next time I’m in Palm Springs playing here again.
Best Public Course in the Valley!
Yes, 5 stars in every category! Played here many times and always enjoy the round. If you’re visiting, put it at the top of your list to play!
