Indian Canyons Golf Resort - South Course
About
Nestled at the base of the San Jacinto Mountains, Indian Canyons Golf Resort offers two championship courses with stunning views. The two golf courses, North and South, have completely different layouts but they are both sheltered from the wind thanks to the surrounding mountains. The South Course is the shorter of the two, making it the more player-friendly course. That is not to say it is not a challenge though. The rolling fairways are framed by contoured mounding and four expansive lakes come into play on six holes. The par 5s are particularly memorable. There are also well over 1,300 palm trees throughout the golf course, which includes hundreds of Washingtonia filifera palms. These trees are native to the Agua Caliente Tribe and an important part of their history.

17th green, short par 4, layup short of the water before hitting over to a guarded green. Just an iron and a wedge, but what a beauty! Photo submitted by t781893493 on 05/01/2019

Nice Course
Fairways were green and bunkers decent. Greens a little dry but putted good. Will go back.
Great greens
For this time of the year these are the best greens in the desert
Great course
Good value for the money. Challenging for the adverse golfer. Fun to play.
Ready to go back!
Played Indian Canyons South Course today! Great experience, even though it was pretty warm (102 F). Really enjoyed the course and the Clubhouse. Ready to go back and play it again as soon as we can return. The course, Tees and Greens were in great condition. No temporary Greens. Puttable Fringes. Highly Recommend for most players.
First time
Great course, super friendly staff. Could have used a ranger to move a couple of foursomes along, but it was later in the day so maybe ranger not available. Skipped a hole and went around them and all was well.
Enjoyed the course! Super friendly golf shop staff and fantastic beverage cart gal. Wonderful to have a couple of bottles of water already iced down in the cart.
First time in PS so I have no comparisons for time of year, but I thought the course was in great shape
JimM
Great layout greens a little dried and damaged but excellent condition
YES
Awesome course! From the greens to the fairways to the bunkers to the tees! Excellent condition! The best part was the hospitality! Everyone was so welcoming!
Nice Country Club Course
The course condition and layout were very good. The course is scenic and situated next to mountains. The golf carts do not have GPS yardage maps. The holes only have rock yardage markers at 200, 150, and 100 yards to the center of the green. You need to be familiar with the course to know the carry distance to water hazards and bunkers, or else bring your own distance devices.
