Indian Canyons Golf Resort - South Course
About
Nestled at the base of the San Jacinto Mountains, Indian Canyons Golf Resort offers two championship courses with stunning views. The two golf courses, North and South, have completely different layouts but they are both sheltered from the wind thanks to the surrounding mountains. The South Course is the shorter of the two, making it the more player-friendly course. That is not to say it is not a challenge though. The rolling fairways are framed by contoured mounding and four expansive lakes come into play on six holes. The par 5s are particularly memorable. There are also well over 1,300 palm trees throughout the golf course, which includes hundreds of Washingtonia filifera palms. These trees are native to the Agua Caliente Tribe and an important part of their history.

I’m not impressed
Let me start by saying the out side staff was excellent as usual. But the two clowns in the pro shop were something else. First they have you sign the standard “you are responsible for the cart slip” then decide as an afterthought that they want an imprint of my credit card to cover the damages. I guess this old guy looks like He can’t handle a golf cart. Even though I’ve never had a vehicle accident in 45 years of driving. Not sure I’ll go-back to this course . Didn’t think a lot about it at the time but the more I think about it now the way these two handle the job they’ll have this course bankrupted in no time. Shame really cause it is a nice course.
Always enjoy Indian Canyons South
The outside staff were excellent as always. And the course was in great shape .
Great course for the money
Great course, not to long, there is water around some hole and some holes you have play smart. Overall enjoyed play.
Great play today!
Once again we ( buddy and me) enjoyed our round on the South Course. Course in excellent condition!!
Great Day At Indian Canyons Golf Resort
I do not get around to play a lot of golf in Palm Springs but when I do I try and experience a new course that I have never played. This week I went with my brother and a friend of ours and we played at Indian Canyons South Course. The couse is in very good condition, fairways, bunkers and greens were outstanding. I will be back to play this again.
Good course but can be slow.
My husband and I have played this course a few times over the last couple of years and we love the course but often find ourselves behind really slow players, which takes the fun out of the round.
Beautiful track
Great course in tip top condition. Breakfast sandwich and food was excellent.
Will Be Back
Actually nothing to say about the course itself. Will definitely be back.
However, I ordered the Chicken Sandwich from the 9th hole and it doesn't really work for someone golfing, plus I think the flavors can be improved.
Please try this: Grilled Chicken on Brioche bun, melted swiss cheese, pickle slices, romaine lettuce, bacon, thousand island, tomato slice. Cut the sandwich in half and put toothpicks in each half. Would be a much better sandwich to take out on the golf course, make any adjustments as needed, but just a suggestion.
Played this course other years and it was in great shape. This year it was pretty rough. We were surprized by thi sbecause other courses we played this year were better thanother years. I
One of my favourite courses in the desert, my third time playing it this trip. Course in great shape, although greens a little slow, no doubt due to record Spring rains flooding the course. I booked a day ahead thru GolfNow “Hot Deals” for $49 (this course is $129 in season and usually $69-$79 in late Apr/early May). I was paired with another single and a twosome, all of whom booked that morning for $30. I’m returning to Canada next week, but will play one more time before leaving, but will try to book online the day of.
Very Nice Course
The course was perfectly maintained, including the many,
many sand traps! All the staff was friendly. This was our
second time playing this course, and we definitely plan to
book another round.
Our Favorite Golf Course in Palm Springs Proper
Very playable for all skill levels, and a challenge from the black tees for very good golfers, what really sets this course apart is the gorgeous surrounding mountains and beautifully maintained fairways and greens. Excellent breakfasts and lunches and a very friendly staff. Discounts in the golf store, plus well-priced Maui Jim Sunglasses and the like, complete the picture. Greens fees are extremely reasonable, particularly later in the day..
Enjoyable company
Please take care around the greens as the tight grass can catch you out. Very enjoyable round of golf with some lovely people
Very fair layout
My associates and I visit Palm Springs every April for a golf vacation. We play this course twice on each visit. It is by far our favorite courses. It’s beautiful, well kept and very fair for the average golfer. I would highly recommend it
Great layout and condition
This is a user friendly course with plenty of challenges but safety in smart play. Depending on your tee selection, you can make this course very challenging or super easy. A real golf course and NOT ‘a squeeze it in’ between the houses and condos type of course.
A real treat with good views, little wind and a few degrees cooler temperatures than the valley floor.
Thank you for taking the time to review. Your feedback is valuable, and we look forward to delivering you excellent service again soon. Indian Canyons Golf Resort - South Course thanks you!
