About
Nestled at the base of the San Jacinto Mountains, Indian Canyons Golf Resort offers two championship courses with stunning views. The two golf courses, North and South, have completely different layouts but they are both sheltered from the wind thanks to the surrounding mountains. The South Course is the shorter of the two, making it the more player-friendly course. That is not to say it is not a challenge though. The rolling fairways are framed by contoured mounding and four expansive lakes come into play on six holes. The par 5s are particularly memorable. There are also well over 1,300 palm trees throughout the golf course, which includes hundreds of Washingtonia filifera palms. These trees are native to the Agua Caliente Tribe and an important part of their history.

Fun Day in the Canyon
First off, was skeptical about the course being playable being there were wind advisories on this day. However, as promised, being as tucked into the canyon as the course is, wind is not nearly as bad here as in other parts of the valley,. So if wind is a concern, don't worry. First time playing here, and won't be my last. Course was in great condition from tee to green. Greens were perfect speed. Not the toughest course you'll ever play, and fairways tend to be generous and greens not the toughest to read. However, a fair amount of bunkers can be found on most holes, and water also comes into play on a few holes as well. A couple holes were fun risk reward scenarios, and a couple other required some thought on club selection. Also like that most holes don't have houses around them and the scenery makes the course that much more appealing. All in all, a moderate test of golfing skill, but for sure a fun play and will be back.

Course is in great shape. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Definitely on my must play list.
Beautiful Course
Course was in excellent shape. They said before we started, there were 240 golfers on the course. There was no waiting at any hole. Favorite golf course in the Coachella Valley!!!
Enjoyed the course
The golf course was in great shape, nice lay out and beautiful. The only smear was a male pro shop employee who had a bad day or just a bad customer relations attitude.

We played the north course of its 36 holes. The course was in very good conditions. The greens were a little slow and hard so balls tended to not stick and slide off. I wouldn’t consider it picturesque but a solid course to play.
Finished off our holiday in style!!
Friends had recommended this course, and I was not disappointed. From the Pro-shop staff, restaurant staff, and starter, this was a great way to finish the holiday. The fairways were in great shape and the greens rolled great.
Plus there was NO WIND!!
It was a great round of golf and will certainly come back on our next visit.
