Indian Canyons Golf Resort - South Course
About
Nestled at the base of the San Jacinto Mountains, Indian Canyons Golf Resort offers two championship courses with stunning views. The two golf courses, North and South, have completely different layouts but they are both sheltered from the wind thanks to the surrounding mountains. The South Course is the shorter of the two, making it the more player-friendly course. That is not to say it is not a challenge though. The rolling fairways are framed by contoured mounding and four expansive lakes come into play on six holes. The par 5s are particularly memorable. There are also well over 1,300 palm trees throughout the golf course, which includes hundreds of Washingtonia filifera palms. These trees are native to the Agua Caliente Tribe and an important part of their history.

17th green, short par 4, layup short of the water before hitting over to a guarded green. Just an iron and a wedge, but what a beauty! Photo submitted by t781893493 on 05/01/2019

Sunrise at Indian Canyons South course Photo submitted by chibbey on 10/04/2012
Worth the drive!
Drove from Riverside to Palm Springs and joined a two-some Randy & John with their 8:30 T-time.
Course was long enough from the back tees and the fairways and greens were prestine. Greens hold when hitting in.
Outstanding value and enjoyable course. 3.5 hour day on an 85 degree minimal wind day.
Will most definately return.
Excellent in every way.. Gem!
I played the Pete Dye Mission Hill’s for $89, and had the Indian Canyons South recommended to me. I booked it and played the next day for $65, 7am tee time.... awesome.
Beautiful setting - a took photos of the practice area and driving range!; very different to UK!!
The course was immaculate, every staff member was friendly and helpful. The two guys I played with were great.
I’m so glad this place was recommended as i hadn’t even heard of it, let alone put it on a shortlist. If I visit the area again, I will definitely revisit the course. Awesome.
Great resort course
Great resort course everything is in great shape. . Very friendly staff and the food and drinks were outstanding and very well priced.
Fun Day
We normally play North but had opportunity to play South and loved it. Very friendly and restaurant on the South side. Great condition. Traps. Great greens. Water on backside.
Beautiful course
My only complaint would be that they load the course up and you end up standing and waiting for two or three groups in front of you to play
Great golf!
The South Course is beautifully maintained and a challenge for any golfers. Loved to see so many women playing. The staff is very welcoming to all. Excellent merchandise as well. Food and beverages we're excellent!
Always a pleasure!!
Have played this course a number of times. We enjoy it each time!! The staff is awesome!!!!!
Second time here, always a challenge.
This course is so much fun. For starters the wind was blowing 30+ mph when I left the house this morning, but it was dead calm once I got to the course. It is a resort course but not a pushover for sure. There were several approach shots that I missed by just a few feet, and a flop shot was required to get over the dips and swales into a tough pin placement. It seemed like every hole took a different approach and I really had to think about my club selection all day. The turf is in excellent shape and the bunkers were nice and fluffy.
This is my second time here and I plan to come back for sure.
Just another great day at Indian Canyons- south course
From the initial welcome and instructions from the starter to finishing with an 85 foot birdie putt I very much enjoyed my round. The fairways, bunkers (of which I saw many) and greens were in great shape. Adequate water available to drink and a finishing breakfast sandwich was delicious. A very nice ending to my visit to Palm Springs- see you next year.
Gorgeous course
Friendly staff, nice pace of play considering it was a holiday, great rate included breakfast sandwich or hot dog. Loads of good merchandise on sale in pro, shop. Not much more you could ask for.
Great deal great course
10 of us enjoyed an afternoon of golf on the grab and go package and really enjoyed the course food and staff.
Beautiful course in great shape
No trick holes. You are rewarded for good golf shots. Great staff and the marshals kept all groups moving.
