Honey Bee Golf Club
About
Nestled in the heart of Virginia Beach, Honey Bee Golf Club is one of the area's most popular daily-fee golfing venues. Rees Jones designed the course, incorporating water on 10 holes as well as intricate bunkering throughout. The challenging layout has several tricky doglegs and some treacherous blind shots as well. It's a golf course that demands careful course management and some strategic thinking. Accurate shot placement is also key when maneuvering the rolling fairways and contoured greens. While it's by no means an easy golf course, it is an enjoyable round for players of all skill levels, making it a popular venue for tournaments and corporate outings. For golfers looking to get an entire day of golf in, Honey Bee's sister club, Stumpy Lake, is only about half a mile away.

Honey Bee Golf Club is Awesome!
We played two of us in the morning. It was a little chilly, but the course was in great shape. The pace of play was very nice as well, no one on the hole in front, or behind us. Very relaxed round. Greens were in great shape, and the fairways were nice as well. Not too wet, not too dry. Am definitely going to continue to play here.
Excellent Value
First time playing the course. It was a cold morning, but I was able to finish 18 holes in 2:30. The course was still in winter mode, but it was challenging for a shorter track. Some tough greens and a few holes with lots of character. A great value for the price and I’ll definitely be back to play again.
Good Course
Enjoyable round. Little wet but not bad for as much as it rained.
75° in February!!
Was skeptical on the way to course because of a comment from my friend's dad about the course and recent weather conditions. However, he did not have any up to date information. It was pleasant driving into parking lot until the time we pulled out. Greens were pretty and receptive, often challenging. Minimal areas with ground under water. My only complaint would be a couple of the tee boxes being muddy, but that should be expected after couple days with precipitation. Overall great time and enjoyable course layout!
Great shape
I played my worse of the year....but the course was in great shape
Honeybee
The pro at the desk was real helpful, showed me a problem I had with my grip, based on the wear of the glove I was looking to replace. The change of grip improved my game more with the irons, driver was still slicing every so often. It had rained earlier in the week so the course was still wet in some areas. But still very playable. It is a fun course to play
Pushy Starter, 5hr round
I play here often only complaint I have is that the my tee time was 8:29 I showed up at 7:50 to allow myself time to warm up after I checked in the starter told me who I was paired with and that I had 5 mins to get to the tee box!! So I actually tee’d up at 8:10. This was unacceptable in my opinion, I always show up for my tee time early enough to allow myself to warm up and go through my pre round routine, being rushed def sucked. Other than that only other complaint was play was backed up at every tee box, our round took a little over 5 hrs.
I do however want to be clear I do love this course and typically have a great time there but I have had a few bad experiences with pace of play and staff
Ridiculous snack bar was not open, pro shop laughed & said the girl was supposed to be there
Great course
Beautiful course with a good layout. Greens are in good shape and fairways are good. Like playing this course as often as I can.
Course in great condition
the course was in great shape. Pace-of-play was excellent did not have to wait at all which was great for my group. BIG sandwiches at the turn.
Honey needs to come down in price
Great course...greens are very good...a bit expensive. ... .short course but challenging. ,i'd play there more if it werent So expensive. ...
Honey bee
Friendly staff. Great course. Rough is high so keep it in the short grass.
Nice course that is nearby. That makes you play smart to score well.
The sand traps were in sad shape, very little sand. the fairways and greens were nice. The starter was not too nice. The person at the counter was nice. I would play this course again. I played with a local retired man who played well and it was very enjoyable. The second round I played with 2 retired locals and shot 3 under par after the first 6 holes. Then I promptly double boggied the next hole, go figure. It is a course you have to play smart.
Excellent Golf Course
Really enjoyed playing a course that is well maintained and managed by a great staff. Fairways and greens in excellent shape. Off the fairways the thick, deep grass is a challenge put fun to play.
