Nestled in the heart of Virginia Beach, Honey Bee Golf Club is one of the area's most popular daily-fee golfing venues. Rees Jones designed the course, incorporating water on 10 holes as well as intricate bunkering throughout. The challenging layout has several tricky doglegs and some treacherous blind shots as well. It's a golf course that demands careful course management and some strategic thinking. Accurate shot placement is also key when maneuvering the rolling fairways and contoured greens. While it's by no means an easy golf course, it is an enjoyable round for players of all skill levels, making it a popular venue for tournaments and corporate outings. For golfers looking to get an entire day of golf in, Honey Bee's sister club, Stumpy Lake, is only about half a mile away.

fun course to play
my playing partner and i found this course layout a little challenging. but we finished nine holes in under two hours. the course looked great
Great Value
This course was a fab find. There are some very interesting holes and quite a few challenges together with good conditions and well maintained greens. For the money I don't think it can be beat!!!
One of the better courses in the area for the price
I played here for the first time last year and liked the course layout and more importantly the condition. Fairways and greens were in excellent shape and the "hot deal" price made it a no-brainer to play here.
I will be playing here again when in town again.

Good course. Good price
Booked it on a hot deal. Course staff was friendly. It rained but we're able to complete the round. Played here multiple times. Some of there bunkers were under repair but no biggie. Good course for the price.

This is a nice course in good condition. I did not use the restaurant or other amenities, but I would gladly play here again.
Course was in great shap
Pace of play was outstanding 2 in front of our 4 some no waiting on tee boxes. If you have the opportunity this is a must play. On line rate $$ is the way to go . Only 40 $$ for each (4)
Honey bee
Although the area had gotten alot of rain and the rule was Cart Path only, the Greens and Fairways were in great shape. The staff, as always, was great and acomadating. I recommend Honey Bee GC...especially at the rate of Last Minute Golf!
Great day with golf buddies
First hole a par five over water.......well that contribution made, we moved on to the remainder of the course. Light wind 68 degrees even with 90degree course requirements it was a great day.
Great golfing day with new friends but...
The day was almost perfect except for the flight behind us who had been so impatient from the 1st to the last hole. In the first hole, our lady golfer was still in the bunker when they started hitting their balls. They knew that it's reacheable but .... and at the 18th hole, we have not yet cleared the greens when they hit their balls again. One even went over us. Why a group of AH! No etiquettes at all.
The pacing was perfect as far as the front players were concerned.
A little surprized
I have played Honey Bee for over 15 years, but this last round was not enjoyable and may make me not want to return. The price and course conditions were not the problem, and the course staff was fine. My issue was with first having to wait for over 30 minutes for a cart and then the pace of play. Tee times should be posted and sold to the capacity of the course, not to see how many people you can put on the course. I ended up only playing nine holes (paid for 18) because of the pace of play. 2 1/2 hours to get through nine holes at this course is crazy.
Fine time at Honey Bee
I enjoy Honey Bee mostly because there are no repetitive hole. I played in the off-season, so the fairways were dormant, but the greens were in pretty good shape. The staff is always friendly, and today the pace was pretty good. Honey Bee won't challenge you with length, even from the tips (where I usually play it), but well placed bunkers, doglegs, and water hazards will keep your attention. I enjoy this course and look forward to playing again soon.

Average course, short yardage. Usually well maintained, but rather pricey in season.
