About
Located close to the San Tan Mountains, the course at the Lone Tree Golf Club offers not only a good game but also beautiful mountain views. This championship golf course was done in a traditional desert-style with rolling fairways and fast greens that are large and undulating. There are also several sand bunkers that protect both the fairways and the greens. Water hazards come into play on five holes and extensive mounding adds further challenge. The course features four sets of tee boxes to accommodate golfers of all skill levels. Lone Tree Golf Club boasts extensive practice facilities including a targeted grass range, a large putting green, and a short game area with a sand bunker.

Pace of play
I have seen a number of reviews about the pace of play of this course. Well we played a round at 3hrs and 45 min and never felt rushed or pushed by the group ahead or behind. Staff were great to interact with and the overall experience of playing this course was good. Fairways are in great condition and greens ran smooth and quick. Overall a great day of golf.

Played Lone Tree November 13 on a perfect day. The course is in excellent shape after the over seeding. Back to regular cart rules. The greens are in great shape, the fastest I have played so far. Bunkers are good, tee boxes and fairways are in great shape. The staff is always first rate. Quite simply a pleasure to play. Got a rate of $60.00 which is a steal compared to its competition. Love the course.

Nice course but a bit pricey, customer service is a bit suspect
I really enjoyed the course layout and i would love to play it again, but not sure the money is right unless they have some crazy deal. Also wasn’t great service. The starter right before tee time forced a single guy to give up his own cart and join us, otherwise we’d both be charged and extra cart fee. The round had been paid and reserved and we checked in 45 min prior and they gave us 2 carts no problem. Irony is, forcing our groups together ended up roaming longer and slowing pace of play. We were warned multiple times out in the course by the marshal to speed it up. Not an enjoyable atmosphere when my father is in town to enjoy a round of golf with me. We paid enough for the round to not feel rushed. He was concerned about 1 hole being open. I hesitate to try this place again.
Course is in Good Shape
From tee to green, course was in very-playable condition. Greens were firm and at fair pace. Sand traps were full with soft sand. Pace of play was good (just at 4 hrs. with 4 players under CPO conditions), as was value. Will be considering 1-hour commute again in the future.
