About
Candler Hills Golf Club in Ocala was designed by Florida native Gordon G. Lewis. In a state that has no shortage of golf courses, Candler Hills manages to stand out. The layout offers plenty of length at 7,233 yards from the back tees. The 662-yard fourth hole is the longest par 5 in Florida. There are no water hazards on the golf course, but what it lacks in water it more than makes up for in sand. Strategically placed traps line the fairways and greens. The layout has some challenging holes but it's fair and playable for all skill levels. Candler Hills G.C. is also well known for its extensive practice facility, which has a range with target greens placed at different yardages and a short-game area with a practice bunker and undulating green.

It’s a bogey.
Chandler hills golf course
Has a great layout, lots of variations. The tee boxes are shaggy and a bit rough but they’re nice and level. The colars around the greens are not very good. I would say the greens are average, although they are very slow. I would not say anyone was actually rude, but I would say they were not really glad I was there, playing on a daily fee. I would say it was worth playing, and I would recommend it. But I would not pay more than $70 to play. By the way the sand traps were great, both fairway and greenside we’re very well-maintained.
Overall great
I love playing here. The course is always in great condition and the staff is always friendly. They’re working on repairing a few greens. They’re missing a snack and beverage cart but I’ll keep coming back.
Great course, Bring your own water!! can't find a ranger on the course
I love this course, and it alway packed I was booked with another couple, that's great, got there with enough time to hit some balls and putt, asked the starter to let me know when the other people arrived? I show upton the tee box 10 min early and they sent off a 2 some on a packed coures then I show up, What is the reason for making tee time? so they rushed me out that upset me.

Course in nice shape. Ball sat up on the fairway, the greens were in great condition but a little slow. Good time had by all
Very good experience
I was visiting the area and very pleased with my experience. Staff friendly and helpful. Nice track with excellent fairways, greens and bunkers. Roughs still coming out of dormancy and very forgiving. This course plays longer than the card yardage. It’s wind exposed with large green complexes. I needed will one more club than usual. Worth a visit when in Ocala.

What can i say. This course is fantastic condition. Every aspect. A must play course. The cart guys and starters are the best.
Hot deal
Any time you can get on the course for under $40 take it! Always a gd time.
Greens were excellent- fast and true. Fairways a little thin after the dry winter. Forgiving layout- generous fairways but lots of bunkers and waste areas- all well manicured. Grounds Staff was polite and respectful to golfers. Enjoyed lunch and a beverage post-round.
Slow play
The group in front of us were playing very slow and never made an attempt at moving a little faster..looked for their lost balls for ever..
