About
Candler Hills Golf Club in Ocala was designed by Florida native Gordon G. Lewis. In a state that has no shortage of golf courses, Candler Hills manages to stand out. The layout offers plenty of length at 7,233 yards from the back tees. The 662-yard fourth hole is the longest par 5 in Florida. There are no water hazards on the golf course, but what it lacks in water it more than makes up for in sand. Strategically placed traps line the fairways and greens. The layout has some challenging holes but it's fair and playable for all skill levels. Candler Hills G.C. is also well known for its extensive practice facility, which has a range with target greens placed at different yardages and a short-game area with a practice bunker and undulating green.

They make sure the group in front of you are off the first green before you tee off . The greens though tricky are very good ! We also had dinner at the club afterwards and the food was great too! This was my third time playing the course and it has always been a pleasure.

This is the best course in Ocala, always great conditions and a very challenging layout. The staff here is terrific and very friendly. Absolutely love this course.

Definitely nice challenge and fun for the casual golfer, with wider fairways
Provides a challenge in terms of distance from the back 2 tees for the intermediate to advanced golfer.
Long #4 par 5 over 600 yards, #15, 17 and 18 are a good finishing stretch.
Overall, a good and well-maintained golf course.

Great course with picturesque views. A thoroughly enjoyable and challenging course. If there’s anything to improve, speed of greens could be a little faster

Is is an absolute awesome course, always is great condition and great layout.
It’s a bogey
Chandler hills golf course has a great layout lots of variations. The tee boxes are shaggy and a bit rough but they’re nice and level. The colars around the greens are not very good. I would say the greens are average, although they are very slow. I would not say anyone was actually rude, but I would say they were not really glad I was there, playing on a daily fee. I would say it was worth playing, and I would recommend it. But I would not pay more than $70 to play. By the way the sand traps were great, both greenside and fairway very well-maintained.
