Bear Creek Golf Complex - Bear Course
About
The Bear Course is one of two courses at the Bear Creek Golf Complex; it is a championship-length course while the other, the Cub Course, is an executive length course. The Bear Course is an inland, links-style course with rolling fairways and well-manicured greens. Strategically placed bunkers situated throughout the course add some challenge to the course. A round of golf on this course can be played in less than four hours. The Bear Creek Golf Complex, in addition to the two courses, also offers a full grass driving range, two putting greens, and a short game area with a bunker.

All I hoped for
Suggested by fellow golfer and glad I took his advice. Good conditions, layout and greens. I would play it again in the future
Well maintained course !
Enjoy playing there as the scenery is nice and we find the course very user friendly!
Great Day on the Course
Check in was super easy with friendly staff ..... course even offers a senior discount ..... practice facilities are excellent and the course is in excellent condition. I joined up with 3 local fellows and had a very good round .....would highly recommend it here at Bear Creek .....
Good day
I’ve played here many times and the course is in as good a shape as I can remember. Played in 3:40 and that was with the slowest cart ever!
Good
Fairways very good. Greens had speed in good condition. Front nine played decent pace. Back nine packed up. Tees just so.
Strong Start
Great course conditions! We had a noon tee time. Pace started good, but came to a halt on the back. (We were warned by the starter that the never could recover from a slow group in the morning—so we were notified.) Front took 1:45, but back took 2:45!!!
Practice area is large—which was needed because it was a busy day! Plenty of room at driving range; large putting area and chipping green.
For first-timers coming out—don’t expect any desert vistas. There are no scenic views from the course. It is surrounded by train tracks to the West; Chandler Heights Rd to the North; a canal and some shacks to the East.
Friendly open space
This is a great course, nicely kept, holes are friendly not many obstacles.
Always Solid
Expectations are key. This is not a high-end, Scottsdale resort course. I wouldn’t expect the red carpet treatment, though I have always been treated fine and I’ve played here well over 100 times over the past 20 years. What you do get is way better than average conditions, a fun layout that is as challenging as you want it to be, depending on the tees you choose, and a round usually about 4-4.5 hours. I’ve played everywhere in the East Valley and keep coming back here for a reason.
Excellent course conditions
Definitely would recommend to friends to play this course
One of my favorite course. Like most Az courses it's very dry on the edges but you ve hit a bad shot if you ate there. Tees fairways and greens are as good as it gets . Rough is dormant bermuda which I still haven't figured out how to chip from. Pace was barely over 4 hrs. Got paired with Gene, Mark and Bill who were great guys to play with. Anything under $100 is worth it. Will definitely be back
Ok For the Money
Got a descent deal and paid $70. The good - GREENS were very nice, rolled true and consistent. The bad - very boring track, no real memorable holes, lots of “wet” and “mud” balls, dormant grass not consistent. Lastly, GAS CARTS - geez people, it’s 2025, build a cart shed and go electric.
