Bear Creek Golf Complex - Cub Course
About
The Bear Creek Golf Complex offers two golf courses, one championship length course and one executive length course, the Cub Course. This sporty course is ideal for beginners and families. Like its sister course, the Bear Course, there are rolling fairways and well-manicured greens that have unique swales and collection areas. The design features five par 4s and the rest are par 3s, all of which vary in length. A round of golf on the Cub Course can be completed in less than three hours. The Bear Creek Golf Complex also boasts several practice facilities including a lighted driving range, two putting greens, and a short game area with a bunker.

Great staff and good course- Marshall needed!!
This is a fun course when groups move along at the appropriate pace. Today was a mess on the cub when I played. A slow foursome in front created all kinds of chaos. My group skipped a hole to get in front of them and I noticed that at least three other groups did the same thing. Time management on the course is part of the game. When individuals do not respect that they diminish the enjoyment for others who don't have 4 hours to play a two hour course like the cub. I would like to see the Cub show some leadership and marshall playing time.
Cow Pasture
Executive Course. Good to practice for short game.
Nice, short course
I have played at Bear Creek before but this was my first time playing their "Cub" course. This is an executive style course. I did not have time for a full round and this worked out great. 2.5 hrs. Conditions were good. Pace of play was great. Staff friendly as always.
A 4 yr hiatus from golfing finally over
The Cub was a great executive type course. Hadn't played golf for 4 years, but had my clubs along on a holiday to the Mesa area. I didn't want to start with a difficult course so this course was recommended to me. Couldn't be happier that I played here. It was great to get the irons and hybrids going again and not get punished for missed hits. Also had some good holes for driver use. Course was in great shape and amenities were very adequate. Staff were friendly and that means a lot to me.. I will be back next year and spend a lot more time on both of their courses. Thanks to this course for renewing my interest in golfing and also encouraging my wife to get back to playing again next year
One of our favorites
Was rather discouraging, didn't seem to be a marshall and we had a very slow foursome in front of us who were taking their time and made no attempt to allow us to play thru. Otherwise it was a good day.
Relax,relax, relax
Great short course. Loved the fact there were a fair share of par 4's. I hadn't golfed for 4 years so this was ideal for getting back into the game. The whole course was player friendly and was in good shape with very decent greens and fairways that always gave good lies. Great course for the ladies. Will take my wife there next time I go. She too hasn"t golfed for 4 years. Very reasonable pricing.
Good course for the $$. Staff are friendly but be clear this is a relaxed environment so if you are in a hurry don’t expect the staff to hurry for you, but if you are relaxed and a fair golfer you will enjoy this course. No trees to stop your balls but wide fairways and good greens.
Today the green and fringes were not that great. The ball bounced a lot due to the surface on the greens and near the pin placements. Difficult to find some of the holes due to signs being down and no cart paths.
Terrible condition
I have never played a course whose greens were insuch lousy shape. They needed to be cut. I guess overseeding was recently done and greens hadn't been cut because of that BUT this was a joke. You could not putt! I feel I was ripped off. In addition, we ended up walking because there was a extremely long wait for carts. I should have been given a redit
Basic problem was we played the Executive Course which was more like a farmer's pasture. Rough fairways. Do not go in the rough you will need a baler!
Nice little course, they were just in the middle of overseeing so not in the best shape. I'm sure in another month it'll be good to play.
Great greens and fairways
I have played the course many times but this place continues to keep the course in great condition. Friendly staff and good amenities.
Good Value
My friend and I played the Cub Course. It is an excellent course for beginners and good for players like me working on their short game.
