Bear Creek Golf Complex - Cub Course
About
The Bear Creek Golf Complex offers two golf courses, one championship length course and one executive length course, the Cub Course. This sporty course is ideal for beginners and families. Like its sister course, the Bear Course, there are rolling fairways and well-manicured greens that have unique swales and collection areas. The design features five par 4s and the rest are par 3s, all of which vary in length. A round of golf on the Cub Course can be completed in less than three hours. The Bear Creek Golf Complex also boasts several practice facilities including a lighted driving range, two putting greens, and a short game area with a bunker.

Fun Day of Golf!
Pace of play was great with good spacing between groups. Course was in good shape. Will definitely play again
excellent
for me who don't golf summer time cause of work your course is excellent going to try your other course
Great Golf Day
Great course with very friendly staff. I would recommend this golf course to everyone.
Staff harassed us the entire round
We had a large group (12) for a birthday/baby shower party and we thought golf would be a fun idea. Unfortunately we picked this course for our celebration. When we arrived we were greeted with comments about state law not to bring our own drinks and that there are notes in the system that one member of our group had a slow pace of play last round. When that member of our party tried to get more information about why those notes are in the system about him considering he hadn't played the course in 8 years he was met with a loud "I'm not going to argue with you" from the pro shop attendant. OK, not the best start to the day but we can get out on the course and overcome it. Not a chance as the ranger then continued to follow our group around and harass us about drinks. He accused of bringing our own drinks because he found a shooter in the trash can 3 holes back from us. He then said if we don't dump it out right now we will be sorry. Are you kidding me, we had spent $800+ and this is the experience we were granted. The day probably being ruined at this point we carried on with our round. A couple holes later the cart girl came around (who was very nice) this being our 2nd purchase from her we bough $60 worth of drinks to get us through the back 9. We then proceeded to the tee box where we were again greeted by the ranger who started in again on us that we were falling behind the group in front of us. So we got in trouble because they thought we brought our own drinks and then we got in trouble when we tried to buy drinks from them. RIDICULOUS! To put the cherry on this sundae we were again backed up on the very next hole as we caught up to the group in front of us without issue. Would never play here again.
Course is great
Love coming here as it is always a forgiving course that begs me to try again- Excellent customer service
my home course
I play all over phoenix .executive and full length courses .....but when it comes to getting your swing back , using every club in your bag ...cub is the place, and in great condition , holes from 75 to 386 yds on the course ...fun and challenging.....don't think you will beat it your first time .....also it won't scare the begginer or average golfer .....but when you think your ready for the next step ...try the bear ....in the same complex...a most pristine course, long, challenging, and well laided out ....besides the challenging coursees , you will come back because of staff...
Good value
Course is a good play for working on your irons game. You can still use driver on 4-5 holes. Good shape, and great value for price.
Great Adventure with the Cub
As we pulled up to the bag dropwe were greeted by friendly staff, inside the Pro Shop the senior female shop personnel too our reservation and was so helpful.Introduced us to our 4th player and gave us a description of the course and directions, she was so helpful almost like a sales consultant.
The food service was quick, with an above average portion, Cheers!
nice day for golf
nice round of easy golf. course was in good shape. very pleasant staff.
great executive course
This reg big courses, is the nicest executive course we have ever played, we like the big courses but wanted to work on our short game, this was perfect for that, it is in excellant shape. there were enough challenges to keep it from being boring. I would definatly reccomend this course to.
Cub Course - Great time, but play full 18!
Two of us novice players played 18 holes in about 2.5 hours. The course was great, but would not recommend playing less than 18 holes, as 40% of them are 90 yds or less. The color scheme of the tee boxes and flags was also a bit confusing trying to differentiate between both courses. Greens and fairways were very well maintained and staff was friendly.
Overall great value
I played the Cub course before and after reseeding this fall and what a difference. The staff was friendly enough both rounds, but the course was in great condition this weekend. Definitely worth the money, and drive out to Chandler.
Great for Irons
If you're having problems with your short game, this is an excellent course to get your aim perfected. The cart paths are confusing, but, you will be able to navigate pretty easy. Plenty of water stations. I saw quite a few husband and wife combo's, It's definitely setup for beginners. I hit my driver only 3 times for the 18 holes. If you're 0 - 15 handicapper, this is a great place for your iron game. The staff is excellent!
Good Course for Irons
Although course conditions were not up to par, due to large pools of water left over from a recent storm, this course has always been one of the best values to me in the Valley. It has two or three very nice long holes, but this is essentially a good test for your short game. I would highly recommend it.
Would not recommend this "cub course"
Would not recommend the Cub Course. Course not In good shape.
Cub Course
Grass conditions and overall appearance was good. Greens were a bit grainy and slow. Great value for kids and beginners.
Great condition
This course is in remarkable condition for the middle of the summer in AZ. A true links course with plenty of challenges.
Great course for beginners
Excellent course for honing in on your short game. Have taken my son here a few times to introduce him to the game. The course definitely welcomes beginners.
Executive Course was well worth it
I had not played an Executive course in many years. The Bear Cub exec course was a good chance to use all my clubs, while especially concentrating on short game. You still can take out the driver on five of the holes, making it a complete golf outing. I really enjoyed the course and was done in just over 2 hours
Good 9 hole course
Played the 9 hole cub course today to work on our short game. Great course, not to short so you get to use all your clubs plus the driver on a couple holes.
