Located in the West Valley, the championship-length course at the Coldwater Golf Club boasts several different challenges for an interesting round of golf. There are elevated tees as well as several dry washes. There are two lakes providing water hazards on the golf course as well. There are also dramatic elevation changes caused by the mountainous terrain. Aside from the challenging game, the course also offers beautiful mountain vistas. The course has not only one signature course but two. The first is the modest eighth hole. Although it is short at 100 yards, it features an elevated tee and a triple-tiered green. Coldwater Golf Club also finishes with a signature hole. The beginning tee shot plays to an open fairway over water with a dry wash to the left, while the approach shot is closed-in by another wash to the left and a lake to the right.

Tee box

Tee Boxes were terrible. Seems they didn't put an effort to fix them as well. Colored faded rocks? Pretty weak.

Could be so much better

The conditions were ok, but could be so much better. Greens were inconsistent and slow overall. The back nine tee boxes seemed like they had just dumped a load of sand and grass seed on the entire tee. Not sure how that will grow. Would be better off seeding small sections and keep people off those areas. The pace was ok on the front nine, but slowed to an overall 4:45 pace. Teed off at 11:44. Only saw the beverage cart once. Back in the clubhouse at the end of the round, they were shutting down before 5:00.

Save your money

This course needs a good deal of work to be playable. Front nine greens were atrocious.

Tee boxes

Considering what other courses charge, Coldwater is a good deal; the course layout has a lot of different views 👍👍the greens and fairways are good BUT the tee boxes are absolutely horrible also the sand traps aren't sand traps they're "dirt traps"

Great Winter Track

Coldwater was in decent course condition. The fairways were mostly green. The greens were green, but a little bumpy and shaggy. It was a good Winter track to keep the game sharp. It is very good value for the money. The staff is kind and welcoming. I recommend it1

Nice Day!

I would recommend this course to a friend. Not the best but there worst courses out there.

Greens: need to be rolled. Very bumpy and slow. Pin placement was unfair on some holes.

Fairways: very playable but did need to play winter rules.

Fringe: grass was very bumpy around the green, made it hard to putt off the green.

Sand traps: almost unplayable. Hard and lacked sand.

Staff: little interaction but was friendly

Rough: mostly made up of dirt. Ball would roll out.

Slow pace today

Our foursome played around 1:00 pm. Finsihed after 5:30. We waited at every hole but it was a godd golfing day. The sun was shining and we had lots of time to visit and relax. Course is in average shape, Some greens are better than others making the speed hard to figure out. You have to play more than once to get to know the layout so you can avoid the challenging areas. This is a very relaxed atmosphere kind of course. There was no marshall or beverage cart that day, but they do have them sometime. The golf carts are getting to be in poor condition and the one we used had some very bad issues with the wheel alignment. When we told the attendant at the end of the round, he said a lot of the carts were similar. This is a beautiful place, but could use some TLC. A good place to go for some affordable golf.

Pace of Play Concerns

My only thoughts are around pace of play. Expected time of play is 4 hrs 15 minutes. Our round took 4 hrs 40 minutes. Barely completed the round in reduced lighting. Never saw a marshal on the course when the course was quite busy.

Need Marshall’s

Course was overbooked. Rates were raised $30 since last week. No starter. You went up to the box on the honor system. No Marshall to keep pace of play. Had a 5 hr round. One of our foursome left after 9 because you had to wait at every hole. Won’t be back for awhile. Not worth the money.

Lack of a Marshall matters

A group of three, men, not allowing any one thru, caused a 4:35 hr round. I counted 7 groups all leaning on their clubs due to the lack of courtesy, very frustrating

Great course and value

Have played this one many times and enjoy it every time. Conditions were pretty good, but greens aren’t perfect. However, their minimal spots do not impact play. A little slow on the front with an older foursome in front of us, but we were a twosome and playing pretty clean, so we generally waited to tee off every hole starting at 3. No biggie, great deal for a winter course in beautiful AZ.
