Coldwater Golf Club
About
Located in the West Valley, the championship-length course at the Coldwater Golf Club boasts several different challenges for an interesting round of golf. There are elevated tees as well as several dry washes. There are two lakes providing water hazards on the golf course as well. There are also dramatic elevation changes caused by the mountainous terrain. Aside from the challenging game, the course also offers beautiful mountain vistas. The course has not only one signature course but two. The first is the modest eighth hole. Although it is short at 100 yards, it features an elevated tee and a triple-tiered green. Coldwater Golf Club also finishes with a signature hole. The beginning tee shot plays to an open fairway over water with a dry wash to the left, while the approach shot is closed-in by another wash to the left and a lake to the right.

Coldwater
Greens much upgraded, course layout is challenging but tee boxes need alittle work but serviceable. Customer service was great and the new manager sat with us after the round and made us feel comfortable.
Five-Star Review for Coldwater Golf Club!
I consider Coldwater Golf Course in Avondale, AZ, my home away from home, and I’m there 2-3 times a week. Yesterday’s experience was something I’ll never forget. After teeing off on hole 1 during an 8:08 AM solo round, I realized I had lost my cell phone somewhere in the rough. My music cut out, and that’s when panic set in. I retraced my steps all the way back to the clubhouse and spoke with Del, who was behind the counter. Without hesitation, he called Joseph from the Cart Barn to help me search for the phone on hole 1.
Joseph and I went back to the course, and he started calling my phone as we retraced my steps. It felt like we were searching for a needle in a haystack, but they didn’t give up. Thanks to their determination, we found my phone, and they even let me redo hole 1 so I could start fresh. This level of customer service is truly above and beyond. It’s not just about playing golf here; it’s about how the staff genuinely cares for their customers.
Coldwater Golf Course is a hidden gem for golf enthusiasts who want a great round without breaking the bank. The course has a laid-back vibe, with a desert-style layout that offers wide fairways and just the right amount of challenge with its bunkers and water hazards. The greens are well-kept and roll true, and the stunning views of the surrounding mountains and desert make it a visually pleasing place to play. Whether you're a local or just visiting, Coldwater is a welcoming spot to enjoy a round of golf. The course itself has always been great, but I’ve noticed even more improvements lately, which I credit to Del and his dedicated team. The conditions are better than ever, and I can’t recommend this place enough. Coldwater isn’t just a golf course; it’s a community that values every golfer who walks through their doors. Yesterday was a perfect day of golf, thanks to the amazing team at Coldwater Golf Course. This place deserves all the praise it gets, and then some.
If you’re looking for a course where you’ll be treated like family and enjoy a fantastic round of golf, Coldwater is the place to be. Yesterday was a perfect day of golf, thanks to the amazing team at Coldwater Golf Course. This place deserves all the praise it gets, and then some.

Great course, best value in town
I am in sales and travel to Phoenix a couple times per month. I play with my customers about once a month either in Scottsdale or Glendale areas. When I came across Coldwater Golf Club, I thought that because of the prices, the course would be mediocre lay out at best, dry and not well-maintained. But I was pleasantly surprised with the layout as well as the way the course looked and played. Since then, I bring my customers as much as possible because they love it as much as I do and you don’t have to pay a lot of money to play a great course. I played today and the greens are I almost perfect and incredibly well maintained, I can’t wait to come back. I almost didn’t want to post this review because when word gets out, the prices will most likely increase, but it’s only fair to the course and management for me to let people know what a great golf course this is.
For $15, you have no right to complain
We’ve been playing Coldwater for years. I like the layout, it’s a fun course to play. It’s not in good shape. The fairways have a lot of weeds, it looked like they haven’t mowed them for a while. A ball rolling down the fairway was stopped by the weeds as it was hit into the rough. The greens were in good show but very slow. However, overall, I have no right to complain. We paid $15 for the round, there were very few people playing and we were done pretty quickly. I’ll be back.
Love this course!
It’s an amazing course, the greens are great right now, and the pace is nice. It is a great course for beginners to learn but also challenging enough for more experienced players. Del in the Proshop and all of the staff are very friendly and great people.
