Nice Pro Shop and Club House with Grill Photo submitted by Russell6471525 on 03/29/2013
Great conditions!
The greens are smooth and fast. The fairways are in great shape. Everyone on the staff was extremely pleasant. What a great day, wish that I had played better.
Great course for great value
Course in perfect condition tee to feet including rough. We loved playing. Clubhouse service lfantastic.
Chariot Run GC is Indiana’s best.
Have played here many times and plan to play many more. If you live within a 2 hour drive you MUST play here at least once. My guess is you will play again. The course is challenging but not impossible. The course conditions always excellent and pace of play makes it almost always possible to play a round in 4 hours or less.
Great Courses
Great course this is a hidden gem green are fast roll great awesome layout you will use every club in your bag definitely be back
Extraordinary...Get There When You Can
Chariot's Run is simply phenomenal. The staff treats you like a member from the moment you arrive. Welcomed at every turn by the staff, the gratis range balls and terrific practice areas get you ready before you tee off. Jerry, the starter gives the groups a great talk before teeing off on the first hole, and the golf experience gets better on every hole. The conditions were ideal from tees through fairways to the greens. Beware, the greens are quick and challenging.
If you are anywhere within an hour of Chariot's Run, forego all other courses and get to Laconia, Indiana. Magnificent experience.
Great Course!
The only thing wrong with this course was my score. The greens are fast and true, and the fairways are spectacular! As any links style course, the rough is just that, and I managed to find plenty of it.
Fine course
Best on the Indiana side of the greater Louisville area. A weekend, hot July day I thought we would see beverage cart a little more often, but otherwise no complaints.
Amazing course
This course is my new favorite. Everything down too the single blades of grass are perfect. Purest teeboxes, fairways, and greens in the area. Can’t beat it when you find a deal to play around $40.
Indiana golf perfection
Chariot Run is the best course I've played in Indiana and possibly the best public golf course I have ever played. The course is in amazing shape, and the greens are pure. The bunkers are very maintained and playable which is good because I was in them all day. They have a senior rate of under $50 through the week which is a steal! Anytime you get a chance to play here do it!
Best in the southern Indiana area
My favorite course in the Indiana side of the greater Louisville area. Actually one of the best regardless of private or public. Lots of recent rain so cart path only, but that wasn’t the fault of the course.
Lovely Surprise
It’s off the beaten track and doesn’t get the acclaim of courses in the area. There wasn’t a single hole I didn’t enjoy playing during the round or I thought wasn’t a fun golf hole. Bring an extra sleeve of golf balls with the THICK heather and water hazards in play. I had an absolute blast and was blown away by how enjoyable and fun it was to play. Pristine greens that are wonderful to putt on! I think it’s the best PUBLIC course I’ve played in Southern Indiana.
Outstanding
Excellent course and even though the parking lot had a lot of cars when I pulled up we played in just under 4 hours.
Best value for the general public in the greater Louisville area.
Great as always
It had been 2 years since I last played, and it didn’t disappoint. Great conditions for mid April, greens rolling 10+
Can’t wait to come back in the middle of summer when it’s playing it’s hardest.
GLASS
GREENS ROLLED TRUE BUT I FELT THAT THEY MUST HAVE BEEN HONORING MASTERS WEEK BECAUSE FOR ME THEY WERE AS FAST AS I HAD EVER SEEN. MADE ME HUMBLE AND I LOVED THE CHALLENGED.
Best course in Indiana
It’s a little out of the way from most metropolitan areas but well worth the time and distance as compared to other venues. Played here many times and have always played under 4 .5 hours. The course is fair and challenging at the same time.
Course in fantastic shape even in early March
Greens were excellent. Very few wet spots in the fairway even though it’s been raining and cold lately. Starter and pro staff guys were great as well. Got a $25 tee time on golf now, so it was a no brainer for value. Regular price would have been wel worth it too.
