SilverRock Resort

Booked two tee times for 6 people. One person wasnt able to make and the staff lost it, got attitude from the starting marshall because we only had five players and we were 3 mins late to the tee box, even tho i had paid for the first two tee times. Our fifth player had to skip the first hole because they said we were going to slow the hole day down. Not once did we anyone up, but we still had the Marshall approach us for playing with 5 people. Not because we had players waiting on us to finish but because another guest tried to play 5 players the week before and they were told no so they didnt think it was fair we had 5. You would think after paying over $600 to play they could be a little more accommodating, i would understand them being this way if we were hold players up or acting like idiots but we werent.

I’ve always heard of SilverRock as a beautiful golf course with amazing views. That might have been the case before. When I booked, I received a warning about construction and the noise that may occur. But I wasn’t made aware that the greens had just been aerated until I checked in at the pro shop. I’ve played courses that have just aerated with no problems but this course had burnt patches on the fairways and most of the greens were badly burnt leaving them patchy and bumpy. Disappointed by the course maintenance, hopefully it improves because it doesn’t look like that construction is ending anytime soon.

Watering. Skip this course at all costs.

Fun run of golf. The course is adding houses and a new clubhouse. I understand the value from the owner but I think it hurts the character of the course. The desert rams and the lack of building was a big draw for this course. Now that they have fenced off the course, the rams cannot get to the course and the addition of building is a negative for me.

Now to the golf. The course was in decent conditions and the pace of play was good. It got very windy on the back 9 but the course was still playable. Stay out of the native areas and you will enjoy the course.

Was harassed by the Marshal nearly the entire round to speed up. I was paired with a random group and we finished in 3 hours and 40 minutes. I’m a 6 handicap and prefer to play fast. No one was playing slow and the guy kept telling us to pick it up every few holes. I spoke to a manager and said he’d call me back after inquiring with his staff. He did not. I called again and left a message for him and he still never called me back. I took a hint and decided I wouldn’t go back. After unsubscribing to emails that I never signed up for, I continue to get emails so they forced this negative review on themselves. The course is nice but what an awful experience.

We were in town from Michigan and couldn't pass up the opportunity for a little desert golfing! We had a great time.. we were warned ahead of time about the condition of the greens being end of season and recent maintenence and all.. did.not.care. Still a fantastic day to be out hitting some balls! Everyone was helpful, nice and went above and beyond. 10/10 would visit again.

The are in the worst condition. Almost unplayable.

Of course is this like the one I see it in GolfNow the pictures of the course was unbelievable when I saw him firsthand I was very impressed. I can’t wait to come down there and play it again. Staff is real friendly and explained everything what we can do what we can’t do, it was awesome

First time playing at silver rock. Fun course, wide fairways. However greens were a little bad. Great value for $65.00. I would definitely play silver rock again.

What a gem! Found this course looking for something different to play in La Quinta and I'm glad I went! Absolutely beautiful course, very well maintained, and the staff are top notch! I really felt like I was at a resort course and not a public course. They are building up the surrounding areas around the course so you do see a lot of that BUT who cares the course was beautiful, greens were FAST, and the cost didn't break the bank! AND if you know a local (which I don't, but played with one) they get in at $40 bucks!!! Thats insane for this course!

Go try it, you won't regret it!

Had a great time playing Silver rock with my best friend.

Course was nice. A lot of building going on. It’s gonna be just another course with houses all around. Instead of a great view. They use “Dynamic pricing”. Which is a nice way of saying if we have enough people we are just going to charge as much as we can get. I’d play it now before all the buildings go up…

We love this course and play it every time we are in La Quinta.
