SilverRock Resort is the city of La Quinta's first municipal golf course. This Arnold Palmer Classic Course is the home course of the Bob Hope Classic. At 7,239 yards, it is the longest course in Palm Springs and one of the longest courses on the PGA Tour. SilverRock sits right at the base of the Santa Rosa and Coral Mountains, which provide a stunning backdrop for every hole. It is closer to the mountains than any other public golf course in the area. The rugged landscape provides rocky outcroppings and massive native bunkers to contend with throughout the course. Beautiful water features also come into play on several holes. The SilverRock layout is challenging but the widths of the fairways are fair and playable and the holes are diverse enough to appeal to a range of different skill levels.

Silver Rock the hidden gem

If you didn’t know it was there you’d hardly believe this location has a golf course. While the rest of the community is non-existent this course is beautiful, well maintained, spacious, and nicely laid out. We played from the blues (6700) and found several of the par 4’s to be challenging. The pace of play was a bit slow on the back 9. Great course we’ll definitely play again. Good value.

I have played many times and this was absolutely the slowest I have every experience. We waiting on every hole with 3 groups on Each hole and the pace never seemed to be addressed. The employees were wonderful

Fun Course, Good Value for the area

Fun and pretty resort style course, could be even better with a few improvements though! Some of the holes are not clear as to where the drive should go and gps map wasn’t clear. Comfort stations closed despite us not being the last tee time of the day. Driving range and 18th green aren’t in the same zip code as the temporary clubhouse. Carts were extremely slow. Overall positive experience and I’m curious to see what it’s like post-construction of the resort.
