About
SilverRock Resort is the city of La Quinta's first municipal golf course. This Arnold Palmer Classic Course is the home course of the Bob Hope Classic. At 7,239 yards, it is the longest course in Palm Springs and one of the longest courses on the PGA Tour. SilverRock sits right at the base of the Santa Rosa and Coral Mountains, which provide a stunning backdrop for every hole. It is closer to the mountains than any other public golf course in the area. The rugged landscape provides rocky outcroppings and massive native bunkers to contend with throughout the course. Beautiful water features also come into play on several holes. The SilverRock layout is challenging but the widths of the fairways are fair and playable and the holes are diverse enough to appeal to a range of different skill levels.

SilverRock August 2021
Course was in great condition. Lots of sand traps, so practice up on your bunker shots.....or just don’t hit it in there. F Y I. Plays a little longer than you think. Had a great time.

Summer Time Golf
I only play in the area in the summer months. It’s the end of summer and the course is in really good shape. They said on the Golf Now the greens were punched, but they were punch over a month ago so don’t let that scare you.
One of guys in our 4some got tied up in traffic and was going to be late, they said no problem, it is summer time though, maybe they are not they accommodating during the golf season.
Check in went smooth, staff super friendly. Starter was great as well. I’ve reviewed this course plenty of times, every time it’s a great time. The layout is nice, fairways were rolling and green, the actual greens though were very slow. SilverRock is right on par with PGA West Stadium and Desert Willow Firecliff. If you haven’t played SilverRock, you really are missing out on a great course.

Silver Rocks
Overall great experience. Beautiful layout with many holes nestled right up against the mountains. Greens huge fast and true. Excellent value with the summer rates ( probably at least 4X more in season) Slow threesome in front of us had uso waiting on almost every hole: shouldn’t happen with the third group out for the day at 6:50. No clubhouse yet and lots of construction everywhere bordering the course slightly dampens the serenity. Didn’t spoil the day though.

Big Horn Course
Had some people tell me that this course was in bad condition and some of the holes are changed due to the construction and not worth playing. I disagree completely! The course was in very good condition for this time of the year and the holes were the same as last year. I have always enjoyed playing this course and I still do enjoy it. Saw some big horn sheep on the mountain side as they were jumping around on the sides of the cliffs! Amazing! I think the staff has done an excellent job with this course considering the construction that is underway. Well worth playing IMO! Thanks Silverrock!

We had a 10:30 tee time on a very hot day.
The course is fun to play and can have challenges. I have rated this lower due to 1 the water sights on the back 9 were no existent. I know we were the last group but with the 112 degree heat we were disappointed that someone did not check on us. The cart girl gave us the last call around the 7 hole, what the heck. The greens on the front were in good shape but once on the back 9 its a different situation. I was disappointed as we played PGA west the day before and were taken care of during 112 degree heat. Not one I would recommend for now.

One of my favorites
Great course, and a challenging and fun layout. It was in really good condition for the time of year, but we were disappointed that we could only play the front nine due to aeration on the back. We weren't informed that when we booked our tee time or we probably would have chosen another course to play that day. The staff was extremely friendly, with the exception of the restaurant. Amenities were very limited due to all of the construction going on.
