About
SilverRock Resort is the city of La Quinta's first municipal golf course. This Arnold Palmer Classic Course is the home course of the Bob Hope Classic. At 7,239 yards, it is the longest course in Palm Springs and one of the longest courses on the PGA Tour. SilverRock sits right at the base of the Santa Rosa and Coral Mountains, which provide a stunning backdrop for every hole. It is closer to the mountains than any other public golf course in the area. The rugged landscape provides rocky outcroppings and massive native bunkers to contend with throughout the course. Beautiful water features also come into play on several holes. The SilverRock layout is challenging but the widths of the fairways are fair and playable and the holes are diverse enough to appeal to a range of different skill levels.

Great summer conditions
Course was in great summer condition... What does that mean? Slowish greens, a bit patchy throughout but not in a bad way and a little wet in spots from trying to keep it from burning out. Always enjoy this course. Some of its appeal is starting to go away as they begin to pack a resort and tons of houses around it... Play it soon before it loses all it's appeal!

Great Golf Course!
This was my first time playing SilverRock and I absolutely loved it! The views were great, the golf course was tough but fair, and the layout itself was awesome. The only negative was that the greens were a little slow. This golf course is now my favorite and I am already booked to play it again.

Fantastic Golf Course
This was my first time playing SilverRock and I absolutely loved it! The views were stunning, the course conditions were excellent, and the layout was awesome! This is now my favorite golf course in Palm Desert and am looking forward to playing it again next week.

Course has a great layout
Marshall needs to do his job and keep pace of play up especially when it’s 110 outside. The group in front of us was at least 3 holes behind. Rediculous

Poor shape
Chewed up “fairways” with, at most 50% green grass
Stones in most bunkers
Greens too long with several dead/bare areas
Need to lower green fee in summer due to poor conditions
Thank you for your review! We apologize that our conditions didn't meet your expectations. This time of the year, the golf course is transitioning (cool season grass fades away) and the Bermuda Grass remerges from its winter dormancy. This “transition” occurs every year and at every golf course in the Coachella Valley. During the transition, there may be areas on the course that appear brown or dead. This is normal as this transition will take several weeks to complete; by the end of summer the entire golf course will be fully transitioned. Then in the fall, the golf course will be reseeded again with cool season grass. This is the annual cycle of golf turf grass in the Coachella Valley. One the best in Palm Springs
This course is one the best golf properties I’ve ever played on. Sure the greens were a wreck from the heat but it’s July in the desert and the course was pretty nice considering. You need to play here. Tough but fair.

Lots of water, desert and sand
The course is beautiful and it helps if you can hit the ball reasonably straight. Do yourself a favor and move up a tee box as the course plays longer than yardage and you will really enjoy your round.

Very Nice Experience
Silver Rock resort is under construction and they have a temporary check in / bag drop location. a considerable distance away from the 1st tee. Love the design of this course; but in all honesty, it wasn't in the best of shape. lot's of bare spots on the fairways and greens. The golf carts were also problematic. You had to turn the key off and on several times and toggle the forward / reverse button repeatedly to get the cart to move. Also, the GPS was not working properly. Other than that, we enjoyed the round and also had a nice breakfast at The Grill restaurant afterwards.
