About
Players of all abilities will enjoy Cimarrone Golf Club's par-72, 6,891-yard championship layout. The golf course, often referred to as "The Wild One" because of its intriguing play, opened in 1988.
Designed by David Postlethwait, Cimarrone's manicured course conditions and challenging design provide a fun, player-friendly experience for players of all abilities. Beginners will enjoy Cimarrone's well-defined fairways and magnificent greens. Advanced players will appreciate numerous risk-reward opportunities provided by strategically placed bunkers and a water or marsh feature on every hole. A total of 17 lakes surround the golf course.
Cimarrone Golf Club, which has a rating of 72.7 a slope rating of 132, has been selected as one of the top 50 courses in Florida and was given four stars out of five by Golf Digest.

Course Great Me Not So Much
I played here when course opened many years ago!
The current conditions are a significant improvement
over the past several years! I compliment
the current administration!
Has completely changed
Wow been a while since I have played but wow the new team has made this course great again, fairways and greens are great. The groundsmen need a raise because they have turned this place around. Looking forward to playing here more and more now.
Course has turned around nicely
Very happy with the investments they have put into the place. Definitely a good track again
Great shape
The course is in great condition now. Greens are a bit slow, but consistent. Got stuck behind some slow groups playing captain choice, but not Cimarrone’s fault.
Disappointed at how many ball marks were not repaired. Come on guys(players), it’s a nice track. Let’s keep it that way.

Cimarrone is one of the top two courses in town. A must play for anyone:)
In transition
I had not played this corse before and heard several poor ratings. I was extremely impressed and surprised at the layout, degree of difficulty and the improved conditions. I understand that the ownership has already spent significant monies to improve much of the facilities and they are planning on additional investments in the greensand overall conditions. I would highly recommend this tract to anyone interested in a very nice , enjoyable and challenging round an dan extremely reasonable cost-well below market for what you get!
Course is the best shape I’ve ever seen it in…
The new owner is doing a great job. The course conditions were above par. The fairways and greens were in the best shape I’ve ever seen them. Some of the tee boxes could be fixed a little. The new clubhouse no longer looks like you’re back in the 80s.
What a difference a year makes
Played here a year ago and was not impressed at all. This year it’s a completely different course. Played three days in a row. Greens were in very good condition and course is in great shape.
