Good wee challenging course
Great condition for a municipal course.
Bunkers need sorting out but other than that it's a tidy course.
4 ball first time at course
Good course, some nice holes, course isn’t well signposted though, impossible to know where the greens are from a large majority of the holes - should have hole layout on the scorecards or on the tee box plaque. For new players to the course it’s very difficult to keep score down due to not knowing where to play to and having to lay up on a lot.
Very hilly course not for the feint hearted.
Greens we’re great and really challenging, big breaks and slow pace caused havoc which made it really enjoyable.
Overall would play the course again 100%
Good test of your abilities
Excellent parkland course. Well layed out, fairways and greens in good condition. A good test of your golfing abilities for all levels.
Not Bad For A Council Course
Was desperately looking for a course to play on a Saturday morning, most were closed for visitors due to competitions & COVID. Course itself was ok, first 12 holes are enjoyable with a few challeneges, and the last 6 holes become a very tough walk up and down a hill. Greens were good, although with it being a council course the standard/etiquette of golfer may not be as good and there were loads of unrepaired pitchmarks. The fairways were pretty long, and the bunkers were unplayable, rock hard sand and full of weeds. Overall, it is worth the £15 I paid to get a game on a Saturday morning but I wouldn’t rush back.
Great course the whole course was excellent and well took care of ,.also litter free ,
Golf plus a workout!
The course was in great shape - especially the greens - and not at all what I expected from a municipal course. Front 9 is straightforward with a few slopes but mostly flat. The back 9 is a different story! Hole 13 was punishing on a hot day without an electric trolley. 14 & 15 were hard going (for me anyway) so the downhill 16th was a welcome sight!! Overall it was a good day's golf.
One of the best council run courses.
Great first 12 holes then becomes very hilly and tiring. some great little par 3's. Bunkers could do with a little TLC, however conditions were otherwise fantastic.
First Time
First time on the course and some of the holes were challenging but very enjoyable. Will go again
Dalmuir on a Covid 19 day
Some very interesting holes; some fairly standard, relatively uninteresting ones. Greens in very good condition. Very, very hilly in places- a good workout! Need to be fit to manage (and enjoy) 18 holes here. Friendly welcome but relatively few amenities- toilets not open, for example. Overall, however, very enjoyable day out- I will be back.
Great value for money
Fairly simple course with a few unique holes. I play there fairly often for one-off games as it is only £10 a round.
The staff are great but there are almost always non-golfers hanging around the wooded areas drinking, which can be quite off-putting.
Overall, a great no frills course.
Short but very enjoyable
A great wee municipal in good condition. Last 6 holes are the toughest. Greens are a bit slow but 18 holes for a tenner is fantastic.
Best £10 to spend in Glasgow .
Lad in Pro shop was excellent, really nice fella, course was in good condition and only paying £10 was unbelievable value.
We all will be back, it is hilly, so maybe not suited for all
Very hilly
Played this course years ago and forgot how hilly it is, front 9 holes are pretty good, but the back nine is severely energy sapping especially the 13th, so steep it has stairs up to the green. For a municipal course you really can’t fault it, it is well looked after. Downsides are the neds drinking in the bushes at the 3rd although they never bothered us and the amount of people out walking dogs. Apart from that it was a good challenge, definitely helps if your a big hitter.
