Clydebank and District Golf Club

My visit to this course which is close to where I live was a day to remember. Although there was frost on the ground the sun was shining and the ground staff lost no time moving the flags from the winter greens to the proper greens. I was welcomed by the club professional and offered a mat, free of charge to play from because of the frosty conditions. After my game I had lunch in the clubhouse and was served by very friendly bar and kitchen staff. My compliments to all the staff at the course for a very memorable visit.

The course was in immaculate condition, despite recent heavy rain, with the greens in particular being of a very high standard. I received a warm, friendly welcome from the club pro who also took time to explain the course layout and the colour coded pin system; red pin means front of green, yellow means middle and white means back. Helpful for judging distance to pin.

The course has many par 4s that are similar in length and layout, especially on the front 9, with 4 picturesque and tricky par 3s coming as a welcome departure. There are no par 5s but this did not detract from my enjoyment of the course in any way. The back 9 is certainly the more interesting of the two with a greater variety of holes with varying degrees of difficulty.

Overall I would recommend this course to golfers of all abilities and, given that I live fairly locally, I am contemplating joining such was my enjoyment on the day

Lovely course, immaculate condition, pace of play dire due to Open competition being on. Staff friendly, welcoming and polite. Would definitely recommend.

First time playing here course is great this is a wee gem of a course, definitely be back to play this.. course was busy and pace of play was not affected. Staff were great and course was in great condition.

This was my 2nd time here but the first time was during the Macmillan 72 hole challenge so I didn't get the chance to fully appreciate it. It's a cracking layout with lots of lovely holes. Not overly challenging for the higher handicap golfer like myself and would make an excellent venue for a works outing or similar

Played this course several times and was playing much better due to recent rain we have had recently but good value for money

Well I have driven past this course for many years and boy I wish I had turned in their driveway earlier.

Considering the dry spell the tees, fairways and green were in great condition and somehow very green.

It is a very fair course but a challenge and all the holes are very pleasing on the eye.

Seriously any golfer who does not enjoy this gem give up.

Lovely course and well maintained. Played many times as friends members. Thinking off joining. testing course! But if your wide off tee? Then most times you have a shot from opposite fairway. Great course for any handicaps to play.

Top class greens were best I played on for a while especially at the start off season would recommend this course from high to low handicappers a really good course

The course has a number of areas in a state of repair but this did not detract from my overall happiness. I felt the reduced rate made it value for money.
