The Golf Club at North Hampton
About
The Golf Club at North Hampton offers a traditional Scottish links-style course right in northeast Florida. Designed by Arnold Palmer, the layout meanders through dramatic elevation changes of over 40 feet and ten spring-fed lakes lined with coquina boulders. Sprawled across rolling hills and wild grasses, the golf course is sculpted from beautiful Florida woodlands, offering a round that is as scenic as it is challenging. The Golf Club at North Hampton's hard-to-read greens are massive and move very quickly. There are also tight fairways, many of which feature blind approaches. To make it even trickier, strong winds often sweep through the course, some even reaching a speed of 30 miles an hour.

Great condition
Always love playing Notth Hampton. Greens rolling true at good speed after being punched last month. Pick the right tees for your ability and you'll have a great day.
One of best public tracks in JAX
Didn't learn that the greens had just been aerated until I arrived. Aside from slow, sandy greens, this course was one of my favorite since arriving in JAX. The layout includes a number of memorable holes. The course also has a links element to much of it, and the overall conditioning was great -- especially when you consider the hot, abnormally dry summer. When the greens rebound from the aeration, they will be challenging and very interesting with the undulations and tiers. This course is far superior to South Hampton, and among my top-two public courses in the area (the other being St. Johns Golf and Country Club).
First time playing this course in over 5 years
Was excited to get back to North Hampton and play a round. Good conditions as I found out that they are going through an ownership change. This has always been one of my favorite courses and hope them much success in the future.
Seek Out This Course!!
This is a wonderful course in a wonderful area. No two holes is alike and multiple tees make for a true challenge for all golfers.
29 putts
My review title should tell you how the greens are
Great shape
Wether was nice and course was in great shape
Golf Club at North Hampton
Great layout ... A suburb test... Not exceptionally long, but quite the challenge. Some shots very intimidating... Greens large, undulating and fast.. Not a big fan of burmuda, but I'll get over it.
A must play
This was the first time I played this course. The fairways and greens were in excellent condition. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The course provides some challenges but is also very fair. Best value for the money that I have seen by far. If you get a chance to play do it. You won't be disappointed.
Enjoyed North Hampton and Recommend it
Played North Hampton for the first time. The fairways and greens were in great condition. I would have given it 5 Stars except that many of the bunkers were not in playing condition and therefore I lowered the rating by one star. The layout was very interesting and the landing areas off the tee were wide and easy to play with confidence. The greens rolled great but had subtle breaks that made it tricky for holing the birdie/par putts. I loved the course and will be back in the future.
Great round!!
One of the best courses I have played in or around Jacksonville. Great course condition and price. I am going to playing here a lot more.
Simply Awesome!
Best course you'll play most anywhere in the world! Incredible experience.
Do it!
Excellent course and clubhouse staff
REALLY fun and challenging layout. The Back 9 was outstanding.
Very impressed with both the course conditions and the clubhouse staff, who were very nice and helpful.
The fairways and greens were in great shape.
One of my favorite courses
North Hampton never disappoints. Course was in perfect condition, as always. We went of at 1 PM and didn't see another group until hole 9. The back 9 was hit and wait. But we still managed to get our round done in 4 hours. Great course.
Good Track
Fair enjoyable layout. Good variety in hole layouts. Multiple tees to fit all handicaps. Greens roll true with minimal surprises, even though had been recently arieated. Food in grill somewhat pricey, even for semi-private. Surprised that kitchen was closed at 3:30 on Sunday.
Best course in the area
Hands down the best course in the area. Just about anyone you ask will say North Hampton is their favorite course for many reasons. Always a great time out there and a good challenge as well.
Great course, with a few complaints.
First off, I loved this course. Layout is awesome, and it is truly a beautiful place. My issue is that I was not notified the greens were being aerated. I made my tee time 1 week in advance, and the staff made no mention of it. I made the trip from Tallahassee to play here, and this should be something that the course staff should NEVER keep from a customer seeking to play. However, there was an aeration discount rate, and to be honest, the greens were still in pretty darn good shape. My other complaint is that the GPS devices were removed from the carts. The front 9 of this course is very spread out, and there were a couple time I had no idea where to go to get to the next tee box. Also, GPS would have been nice on a few holes to help with knowledge of the hole layout. Saying that, I would definitely come back. Just make sure you ask if the greens are being aerated when you make your tee time.
Play here whenever you can.
Friendly, helpful and professional staff. Course conditions, layout and playability were excellent. It's been 10 plus years since our last outing here and though not surprised given the consistent high ratings here, we were left wondering why it'd taken us so long to get back here.
North Hampton belongs in the top tier of North Florida places you can play via GolfNow in a group that includes St. John's Golf & CC, Amelia River, King & Bear, and Slammer & Squire.
With more topographic interest and unique design features than other area courses, you'll want to play here over and over again.
Book with confidence!
Great value for golfers traveling to Ameilia Island
For far less than comparable resort courses in the area, the Golf Club at North Hampton is a strong test of golf with excellent conditioning. Lots of water, bunkers and undulating greens make for a terrific 7,000-yard plus championship golf course designed by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay. There's plenty of variety on this course as well, so it never gets boring, and it's just 20 minutes or so from the Jacksonville International Airport.
Great layout
Great course that I would play again for sure. Not too many people on day I played so pace of play couldn't be properly judged.
A GEM
A must play when in the Amelia Island area. In our opinion the best course for money in north Florida and South Georgia

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review! We're glad to hear you enjoyed the course. We want to mention that we have a policy of complete transparency when it comes to communicating course conditions to our customers and the fact that you weren't notified about aerification when you booked your time is completely out of our protocol. If you wouldn't mind, would you contact us at info@hamptongolfclubs.com and provide us with your name? We'd like to look into the specifics of how your time was booked so we can use this feedback as a training tool for our team. Thanks again for playing and we hope you'll come see us again soon!
