The Golf Club at North Hampton
About
The Golf Club at North Hampton offers a traditional Scottish links-style course right in northeast Florida. Designed by Arnold Palmer, the layout meanders through dramatic elevation changes of over 40 feet and ten spring-fed lakes lined with coquina boulders. Sprawled across rolling hills and wild grasses, the golf course is sculpted from beautiful Florida woodlands, offering a round that is as scenic as it is challenging. The Golf Club at North Hampton's hard-to-read greens are massive and move very quickly. There are also tight fairways, many of which feature blind approaches. To make it even trickier, strong winds often sweep through the course, some even reaching a speed of 30 miles an hour.

Great layout and value!
The course was in great shape and was a great value for price. Interesting layout (not monotonous), greens were soft and rolled true (but not easy)!
Great Track
I love this course and play it every time I come to northeast Florida. This track is a lot of fun and you have no excuse for not making it so as I believe I counted 6 tee options. Play it at a yardage that you feel comfortable with and you will have a great time. Also know that once you reach the green, then the real work will begin. The greens are huge and very undulating. I could not have expected more on their conditioning for March golf--they were in great shape for this time of year.
If you are a guest to the area or playing the course for the first time, it would be best to play with a local or a member. This course was designed by a pro and deception is part of the deal. Pick the right aim point off the tee and your round will be very rewarding.
My only complaint on today's round was the condition of the sand traps. Most were pretty much missing the key ingredient--sand. Skulled a couple of shots off of bare dirt before I figured out what to do. However, for golf at this time of year a guy from Michigan isn't going to complain. I love this place!
Tough track on a windy day
This is one hard golf course. It was also a very windy day, making it that much more difficult. A lot of the fairways roll off towards water, maybe more strongly than necessary. Greens were very fast and contoured. This course was in the best condition of the ones I played that week by far. Very hard course. It would help if the advanced GPS had a little more strategic help for first-time players, because it's a hard course. Did I mention that? But I would love to play it again, even though it kind of beat my brains out.
Nice
Very nice layout ,one of the best I've played . 15 tee shot aim between the two bunkers or you will be wet left.
Really nice course, worth the ride
First time playing North Hampton and I was really impressed with the course overall. Great greens, nice conditions, and a solid layout. I played with a frequent golfer who knew the course, which helped a lot or else I would have found my self in some trouble on a few holes. The greens are huge, undulated, fast (roll great) and sometimes guarded by water or deep bunkers. I played the blues, about 6400 yards which was perfect for someone like me who occasionally knocks it 250. Overall it's 's a really fun course, and worth the 40 minute drive if you want to play one of Jacksonville's best public tracks.
Sand and water
Course in good condition for the winter. Greens were very quick but playable. Lots of sand and water Great staff who were very friendly and helpful.
great design
outstanding championship design! highly recommended!
Great shape
Course was in great condition. Great value for the money. Definitely coming back!
Fantastic layout
A great Arnold Palmer design. This is one of my favorite courses in Florida. The course is in great shape for a cold winter. The layout makes you think rather than grip it and rip it. I will definitely be back.
Great Lay-out
Not a long course, but challenging. Lots of bunkers. The GPS on the carts are very accurate. Greens ran true and held good approach shots. I hope I can play it again.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback. We would love to see you out here again any time!
Very nice golf course
Good value for the price and the course is always in great shape.
Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. We appreciate your feedback!
No better course in the area
I have played North Hampton since the day it opened. It has never been in better co edition. Highly recommend this course if you want to play a Links Course with undulating greens that roll like a table top. The only drawback is that you can't blame the greens for your kisses! Go Play!
Thank you so much for your review. We appreciate your loyalty to our course and hope to see you again!
North Hampton is a gem!
We always enjoy playing North Hampton. Make sure that your ego doesn't get in the way and "play it forward" for a more enjoyable round.
Thank you for playing North Hampton and taking the time to review your experience. We appreciate your feedback and tip for fellow golfers!
Great Course and Staff, Irresponsible golfers
No complaints about this course as it was in superb shape. I do have a complaint about the people playing golf these days. I don't think any of the golfers in front of us knew or felt like repairing a ball mark on the green or raking a sand trap. I guess they think they own the course. It's really great when you land in a sandtrap in someone's footprint.
Not sure how you fix lazy golfers but this is a trend we've seen at a couple of courses. Maybe put more reminders out.
This won't stop me from playing here again but come on golfers, grow up!
Thank you for your kind words about our course! We do our best to remind all of our guests about course etiquette, but as you've mentioned here it can be a hard thing to address once golfers are out on the course. We sincerely appreciate your dedication to the respectfulness of the game and hope to see you out at the course again soon.
Great track
I throughly enjoyed this course. Great variety of holes, tough but not overly so. I found it a bit tricky the first time around although the GPS units on the cart were a big help.
Highly recommended; great value for money.

North Hampton
One of my favorite courses to play on. The course is a great layout and always in very good shape. I will definitely be back.
Great Course
First time on this course. I found it challenging but in a fun way due to the hills and water hazards combined. The GPS on the cart helped on the unfamiliar course. Unfortunately I was stuck behind a foursome of turtles who didn't get the hint to let me play through, otherwise a very enjoyable afternoon.
Very playable for both 7 & 18 handicap, tightens up a bit on the back
WIDE fairways & HUGE greens welcome you to the course. Back nine adds a little more challenge with uncertain fairway landing areas or "pick the right line" to carry the water from your tee.
My wife (18) and I (7) were first off on a very dewy morning and played in less than 3 hours. Greens were very true but, needless to say, the dew slowed them down. "Greens hit" here are a fine stat to count but you could still be 40 Yards from the hole! Count your putts instead!
She shot her handicap. I was 3 under mine with only 1 birdie. Will definitely play here again. Both for the course and the price value.
Very nice at twice the price
Typical of most Arnold Palmer designs I've played, the course is fair but can be punishing for off-line shots. Keep the ball in play and you're really in play. But get into trouble, and you're really in trouble. Overall, very enjoyable round in all respects.
Wish greens had not been aerified
Greens had just been aerified but still was a fun play.
