Wed afternoon
Took a friend who was visiting from out of country. Past couple times I have played it has been a bit slow, starting around 2pm. I recommend walking since with carts you get stuck waiting too much.
Golf
It was a majestic round. Not a cloud in the sky as we embarked on our journey thru out the round. The birds were singing and the squirrels were frolicking across the amazing landscape. An enjoyable relaxing round with a comfortable pace of play that would bring a smile to Brooks Koepka
Fun great course
Fairways were in great condition and the greens as well. We played at 1130 on a Friday so amazing we never waited . Loved it and would absolutely play there again

A little slow at first, pace picked up and finished in 4 hrs.

Fine course, very friendly
Out of the Long Beach courses, Big Rec would be considered the easiest: not a ton of trouble, only real protection are some hills and length.
If you're looking for a tough day, skip Big Rec.
If you're looking for a relaxing round, Big Rec will be fine.
PoP is good really early (6AM start can finish in nearly 3.5 hours), but can back up later in the day.

Perfect Sunday Round with friends
Greens in good condition, perfect pace of play. An all around great day.
Gal at pro shop had her A game on and managed the tee times perfectly.
Great day almost
The golf course was in good shape. The only issue we had was at the eighth hole. The ambassador talk to us about slow play. We did have two women in our group, but they were doing fine. The problem we had is that the ambassador stated that we had long hitters behind us. And they wanted to play through. Within one hole we caught up with the group ahead of us. They never jumped ahead of us, but they drove into us three times. They came about a foot from hitting one of the women in the head. These guys were real JERKS. Women have the same rights to play and enjoy there round of golf without worrying about there safety. Our tee off time was 12pm. You should give the group that was behind us a warning. And you should give the two ladies, Loi, and Julianna a free round of golf. I love your course but you should make it safe for everyone. That was the ambassador fault. Thinking more about long hitters than the enjoyment of all.
Excellent condition
The course was very lush! The greens were slightly bumpy, but playable. Overall this was the best I have seen the course!
I was very frustrated! I conformed my reservation to make sure the greens weren’t aerofied and when we played it had just been done Tuesday the day before I scheduled my tee time! So I paid full price for really crappy greens!!
