Fun Track!
Always a good round here. Friendly layout but also challenging on some holes. Conditions are really good right now and greens roll very true. All in all a good, fun, long track where it’s always a good time!
Slow but Plush
The rains made the course look better than I've seen it but the pace of play took the gloss off of it in a hurry. 3 groups on one T-box should never happen.
Not worth it
For this being a hot deal, I did not find this course to be worth it.
Pace of play slow when cart path only
Played on Friday 2/23/24 tee time at 3:00pm and only finished front 9 at 5:50pm. (2 hours 50 minutes for 9 holes) had a couple groups in front of us that could not hit the ball off the tee, but just looked like a slow day overall. This is a very nice and fun course, just didn’t like the slow pace of play. Think the cart path only had something to do with it.
First time
First time and am super impressed. Great value and even greater value for Long Beach residents. Have played Little Rec, Eldorado, and Heartwell. Long Beach has great facilities. Skylinks is a little outside our budget but sure it’s great as well
Well done Long Beach should be proud of your facilities!
Overall Impression - good value
Course was in good shape. Very fair set ups. Played a little on the slow side but a good value for a weekday afternoon round.
Pace of play sub 4 hours 🙌🙌🙌
Started the round at 12:50pm and ended at 3:40pm (3 hours 50 minutes) thought pace of play was slow at first during the first three holes but picked up after that. Also helped that the group in front of us left at hole 16. Conditions were good! Some greens were rolling fast and some were slow, but not too bad. Fairways aren’t as smooth as skylinks in Long Beach so when I hit a low shot it doesn’t roll as far 😅
Plays long.
The forward tees are not much closer than white tees. If you are a short hitter, the course plays long.
Friend of Marshall, play as slow as you want
Pro shop was contacted by the golfer behind us for the slow play of the group, 2 groups ahead of us. They tee'd off as they should, but by the 3rd hole, they were behind a full hole! The Marshall came out advised us of slow play and when told about his group of friends, he was visibly flustered, but did nothing. He didn't go and talk to them, he did nothing. 3 hours for 9 holes at this course is too long, so we left.
