CHW 3 -
The course was in great shape and the greens were also in great shape and played true. Speed of play was great, we never had to wait for a shot and were never pushed to play faster.
We were paired with two other men and enjoyed a great round. We played 18 holes in 3 hrs 45 minutes. The only downside to the course were the rental clubs, we were given a mixed bag of clubs, most were not in good shape and not clean.
Too slow - Do something about it
Over the years, they have raised the prices but not done anything about players holding up playability.
Terrible.
Great, fun course though.
Near Perfect
Played mid-morning on a Friday and our foursome got off on time and play was just over 4 hours which was surprising considering some of the other reviews.
The course was in top shape from tee boxes to greens. While fairways were mostly stratight those with doglegs weren't much of a challenge.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Overall a great time was had by all.
Water ...
Course was in good condition, however, there only are water fountains on the front 9 and didn’t have a cart service on the course. So, plan accordingly.
Windy but nice day for golf
Pace was slow for a monday but the course was in decent shape but the wind was really blowing. That really change the difficulty of the course. Met some nice people and had a good day, good just under 5 hours to play
FIRST OUT
awesome time the greens are super fast and rolling great
Overbooked
The staff (1 cashier) was professional and handled the flow of people well. With that said the course clearly overbooked tee times. My 7am was pushed to 7:15 which is not a big deal but tee #1 had an endless line of carts waiting to tee off. There were at least 6 groups waiting. I went back into the pro shop around 7am to recheck in (I was there early and asked to come back after I hit my bucket) and there was a line of about 7-8 people waiting to check in, with phone, after phone ringing. Some people were going off the back and I ended up just canceling and not playing the course. By the look of the first hole the conditions look decent, but I honestly can’t speak to them.
Nice Friday afternoon round
We had a 145 tertime and the starter Let us tee of at one, we were done in four hours before 5 o’clock. The course was in great condition the carts and the staff are very friendly. I would recommend this course
Slow Play
Course played very slow, so many hackers out, causing me to lose interest in my round after the first 4 holes. we played as a 4-some and took 5 hours to play a 6200 yard course. that is just insane. Greens were really bumpy and the holes were so damaged from people slamming in the pins.. tee boxes need some TLC and so do the carts
Conditions
I totally understand upkeep and maintenance. But they had started aeration a couple days before. I’ve never seen greens so white with so much sand. Not just one or two but at least 15 of the 18 holes the greens where unputtable
I personally believe they should inform you in the pro shop when conditions are as such. I also believe that it was just poor maintenance work. Lazy. Left way too much sand and chunks of dirt and grass on green .
Slow Play
It was a very nice day however the pace of play was just horrible, no Marshall was around to check things out. Front 9 took 3 hours and is only a par 34 WOW.. back nine took about 2hrs 20mins so pretty average however we played thru a 4 some and we were a 4 some so it saved us about 18 mins, i was able to finish 18th hole, drive out to car put clubs away, change shoes, use mens room and the group we played thru was just getting onto 18th green.. Tee boxes need some attention
Never experienced like this
We had 2 groups of 4 and has tee time at 11:00 & 11:07.
We got there 10:30 but no cart was available until 11:30 and had to wait 4 groups at 1st tee.
Therefore we started our game little after 12 and pace was so slow. We had to wait one or two groups each tee box. We could only finish 15 holes with 11am tee time.
It seems like they try to get as many as players they can put in because they still charge people even though golfers don’t finish their game.
They should have twilight rate starts at 11am!!
