Chester Washington Golf Course

The greens were nice, staff is friendly, and good supply of carts. Scenery was nice , with two lakes. Stay on the greens because once you’re in the rough it’s difficult. One downside was all the greens were worked on so it made putting unpredictable and hard to read.

Super bumpy, don’t waste your money, wait another month at least

A fifth joined the group in front of us on an already an hour delayed tee time. 2 out 5 teed of from blue tees, when they shouldn’t. Most time the group in front of them are already on the green, before they barely got to the box. No Marshall to help with pace of play at all.

been a couple years since i last played here.surprised to see the course has improved as far as layout and condition. my only gripe is the pace of play.

imo it should be common sense when u play twilight hours you shouldn't be taking excessive practice swings, the whole group observing each players shot. for examaple you got a golfer taking a shot while the other 3 golfers are right behind him waiting for him to finish then do the same when the next golfer is up, i see people coaching acting like nobody's waiting behind. its ok when theres a group still on the greens putting orbthe next group is within 220 yards but good lord, thats against the rules. do that at the range or at victoria. lol . nice course just need a marshall who aint scared to enforce

No carts ready had to wait 45 minutes for a cart and couldn’t finish my round

The whole place is lush! So green!! They had just barely cut the fairways, the rough is really thick, there are areas surrounding that had been left to grow during the winter months so the tall reeds are up to your knees! But they had cut most of that away, so the actual rough down the sides are now playable. But the definition of the fairways with the edging of the rough is nice to see. Somebody is looking after the place. They even have those “Exit” signs from the fairway to the cart path like you might see at private clubs! And many areas are roped off to keep people riding in specific areas, which is awesome, as the grass is maintained!

The greens need another week. They are still a spongy and the grass need to fill over the sand from the punching. Probably be nice in about a week. The next month or so will be a great time to play here before the heat comes in and the grass starts to dry out and get thin.

Backed up by an hour - they literally dont have any carts

Tee time was more than 30 minutes delay and had to walk for first 5 holes without the carts... Due to insufficient carts, our group had to walk for 5 holes. Looks like the starters squeezed in their friends without the reservations into the tee times ahead of ours that made the situation horrible delay.

Was in a 3sum, had group behind us call Marshall on us for “slow play” but didn’t realize we had to wait for the group ahead of us. Marshall followed us for 3 holes then showed up 5-6 holes later and saw we had to wait. Goes to the group in front of us and tells them to keep up the pace. One golfer from that group comes at us way too aggressive claiming we called the Marshall on him when we didn’t. I’ve played there before a few times and haven’t had any bad luck like what some of the stories I’ve heard. Garbage facility with terrible people that play there. Never again.
