Westchester Golf Course

Last time I played this course it was only a 15 hole and was in pretty bad shape. I also left in an ambulance after being struck in the head so that may have kept me away as well LOL! O joke because I’m fine now but you should watch yourself out there. It’s pretty tight.I was prepared for the same conditions but was pleasantly surprised. The rains had obviously given the fairways and tees a little trouble but that’s to be expected on all courses right now. Especially when they are busy. The geeens were in good shape considering the amount of play they get. Pace wasn’t too bad. Finished in about 4 hours.

Par 64 is perfect for me to keep my game polished when I don’t have too much time to play. Verses some golf course in Westside which take over 4.5 hours to play this course normally can be played under 3 hours.

Had a 7:30am tee time. After my round I asked if there was any specials on a second round? Yes indeed. $14.95 including cart. Had lunch and played again shaving 10 strokes of my game. Great value and staff.

Decent course when in the mood to gold or if you don’t golf often. Executive style course, par 64, 1 Par 5 on hole 15 gives you a little excitement as if you hit a good drive and give you a chance to land the green on 2. Outside of what was expected with holiday crowds, and five somes made for a long round but thankfully started at 730a.

Fourth time playing Westchester. First time I was just getting back into the game. One time i tried it for the night golf which was not a good experience. It's a casual par 61. Not a lot of fairways and the greens are small and the tee-boxes tightly packed.

The driving range is really nice though.

Well...I found out that five-somes are "normal" in the area...and didn't appreciate the marshal "reminding" us to keep up, and letting a two-some go in front of us instead of having one of our five-some join them.

I did enjoy the layout and the weather was perfect.

The greens were mid-range (8-9) and the fairways were forgiving. I enjoyed playing with the four guys they put me with.

This is basically my "home" course, I play here pretty regularly. I totally understand its a beginners course with all kinds of folks out there, it can be slow but its still fun, I get it. The only thing that got in the way of us having extra fun was the extra person they squished into our group. I took the time to book my tee time a week in advance so my brother and I could get there at the time we wanted and have a blast. We were paired up with two other young men of like ability, would have been an epic round. BUT they decided to throw in some lady that did not take the time to make a reservation and just hoped to walk on. So we ended up having f and the old hag kept yelling at us the entire round to hurry up! First of all lady, if you weren't here we would be playing faster but her bad attitude an irritating demeanor nearly ruined the round for us. It really took the air out of any humor or fun we were having and make it stressful, which was totally unnecessary. Next time the Marshall or whoever tries to make my group a five-some I AM GOING TO RAISE HECK, WATCH OUT!

I hate this course for always putting 5somes out. It really slows down the pace of play. Especially when 5 people cant play the game well. Sitting on every tee for 20 minutes is no fun. They need to halt this practice. Regarless of the price I will hesitate to book another round here for a while.

Great pace of play on a good course for a great price. I would recommend this course to any level of player visiting that is looking to just walk on to a course for a quick 18.

So frustrating to get to the ball washer and there is no water in it or the plunger does not work.
