About
Singing Hills Golf Resort at Sycuan (formerly known as Sycan Resort) offers two 18-hole championship courses, Oak Glen and Willow Glen, as well as a 9-hole, par-3 course. The courses are tucked into a valley, surrounded by mountains and sloping hillsides that provide stunning backdrops on almost every hole. The Sweetwater River runs through the Oak Glen Course, coming into play on several holes including the memorable fifth hole, which is definitely a contender for one of the best par 4s in San Diego. This challenging hole requires an accurate drive across the river. The gently rolling terrain is sprinkled with mature trees. The layout features undulating greens and tight fairways. It is a challenging golf course but it is generally forgiving off of the tees, which makes it slightly less difficult than the hillier Willow Glen Course from Singing Hills Golf Resort at Sycuan.

Great course and amenities
Beautiful course and layout. Greens are having a bit of a rough patch but still putt well. The greens are just not at there usual best and they are working hard to get them back to championship levels. Good value for a high quality golf course

Still one of my faves, but course in decline?
I jumped on a good deal on GolfNow to play one of my favorite courses in the area. Both Willow and Oak are fun and relatively easy, but have been priced at a premium over the last year. So I was a little disappointed with the condition of the course -- the greens were torn up and the fairways weren't in great shape. I still got more than my money's worth at the deal I got, but I'd be cautious of paying in the 100 dollar range to play here.

Greens were SHAG carpet. Literally.
Absolutely horrific greens. Punched, sand blasted, and worst of all THICK and slow. It was comical just how bad of shape this place was in. After the round I tried speaking with the director of golf, but he was “in a meeting.” If I could give this place ZERO STARS I would. Mark my words, I will NEVER play here again. Not in this lifetime.

Worst course conditions I’ve ever seen in my 30 year career.

Singing hills.
The course is overwatered and the greens are slow. There was mud in the fairways and green side. There is a lot of erosion on the greens.

Good condition
Decent course but not worth full price. Greens are slow but in good shape.

Dishonest and poor customer service
Booked our round through GolfNow. Arrived on the course early and an older gentleman asked how he can help. When I mentioned we booked our slot thru GolfNow, demeanor changed. The two of us gets checked in and was told to go to the starter on our tee time. When I asked if we can go earlier since I checked beforehand thru their website and there were plenty of open slots, I was told that the course was packed and there was no open slots available.
I did not want to cause a scene but went out to the putting green and waited for out time. I see a 2some and then another 2some and then no one for at least 15 minutes.
Once we got on the course, the conditions were decent. Not resort caliber but playable. Certainly not worth the $150 they charge to play. There are some holes that were fun but for the most part, just ok. Greens were soft and we fixed a few ball marks. Not enough sand in bunkers.. The golf cars are nice and have gps on them.
Have no plans to go back as there are other place who value their customers better than here.

Practice round with 13 yo son
My son is going to have a big tournament at this course so I had to take him to practice and get familiar with this course. It's about 53 miles from our home. This is our 2nd time there. The course is in very good condition, especially the green.
