Singing Hills Golf Resort at Sycuan - Oak Glen
About
Singing Hills Golf Resort at Sycuan (formerly known as Sycan Resort) offers two 18-hole championship courses, Oak Glen and Willow Glen, as well as a 9-hole, par-3 course. The courses are tucked into a valley, surrounded by mountains and sloping hillsides that provide stunning backdrops on almost every hole. The Sweetwater River runs through the Oak Glen Course, coming into play on several holes including the memorable fifth hole, which is definitely a contender for one of the best par 4s in San Diego. This challenging hole requires an accurate drive across the river. The gently rolling terrain is sprinkled with mature trees. The layout features undulating greens and tight fairways. It is a challenging golf course but it is generally forgiving off of the tees, which makes it slightly less difficult than the hillier Willow Glen Course from Singing Hills Golf Resort at Sycuan.

Beginner01
Course is great condition, played on cloudy and misty day, and still enjoyed the round. Look forward to playing under sunny perfect San Diego Weather.
Hot day on the course
The practice facilities are very nice, course was in great shape, wasn't very difficult, par 3s were tough. Greens were well kept. Will try willow glen.
Great course
Had fun on this great course catching up with an old friend. I just wish my drives were a bit straighter, as the fairways are pretty narrow. Beautiful and well maintained course and friendly, attentive staff.
Up to and touching
I’m glad that I had a chance to play on 1Apr’17 because Oak provides just the right amount of difficulty the kick start my game. The meandering fairways will lull you into a false sense of security just to tuck you behind a tree, secure your ball in a blanket of sand or gently drop you into a water hazard. I like Sycuan and if I were to claim a home course this is it. The staff treats you as though you are a club member, there carts are very nice and comfortable and the grounds are pristine. The ground crews are top notch in my book. Normally, I don’t provide commentary on the 19th hole but Sycuan has one of the nicest and well-appointed lounges for golfers in addition to their separate restaurant, when in the golfers lounge try the fish-n-chips with smoked vinegar topped off with an ice cold draft. Nough-said!
Excellent course
First time playing here and it was wonderful. Beautiful course and conditions. Very friendly staff.
March 2017
Course was in great shape. A great walk as well. If you're an avid golfer suggest playing around 2pm, and maybe consider playing your front nine twice. You can get some quality time alone working on your game, Sycuan is great for that. Docked a star cause pace of play can be hit or miss here, literally got paired with a elderly guy who needed 2 drives and a 3 wood to reach a 400 yard par 4, and still came up short. If you have your own foursome this is a hot spot for a fun round.
Condition A
Course was in great condition. Fairways and greens were near perfect. Very enjoyable!
Fun course but could use improvements.
Greens were slow and far too soft. Majority of pin locations were less than ten feet from edge of green which is really stupid. Not as nice as Willows course, play was slow and never saw a ranger. I believe some overseeding would help the fairways too which were a little sparse in some areas. I didn't like oak trees blocking ball path entrance to several greens either. Not a 4 star course.
ALWAYS IN GREAT SHAPE AND THEY KEEP IT MOVING
BEAUTIFUL DAY, GREAT GREENS,AND THE CARTS HAVE THE DISTANCE TO HOLE MONITORS
Very nice
The course was in excellent condition after all our rain. Played Tuesday afternoon so course was quiet. We had no one behind us the entire game. A very good deal thru GolfNow.
Perfect Saturday
Two foursomes with tee times just before noon. Perfect weather for golf. Course was in great shape. Recent rains have really helped a course that is always in good shape anyway. Staff is always nice and courteous. Pace of play was just about right. Had a little trouble with a twosome that was behind our two foursomes. Of course, we were two foursomes in front of a twosome on a Saturday! Nuf said. It always hard to choose between Oak and Willow. Great venue overall.
A fun day of golf
Our tee time was at 1 PM, the weather was great, the course was in great condition. We felt like we were the only players on the course as there was no one ahead or behind us all day. We played in 3 1/2 hours and had a great time.
Course is improved
Hadn't played this course in over 10 years. Was pleasantly surprised at the shape of the course. The greens were excellent, especially for February. Sorry to say I found out the sand is good in the bunkers, I was in four of them. Played as a twosome on a busy course, finished the round in three hours twenty minutes. Excellent burger and good draft beer selection (and full bar) at the cocktail lounge after the round. This entire facility has improved quite a bit since I last played here.
Solid track
Course is in great shape currently with all of the rain we've recently had (best i've ever seen it). Greens roll slow but smoothly. Have some undulation to them which can create easy misreads. Fairways are in terrific shape. I am a low handicapper as well.
