Singing Hills Golf Resort at Sycuan - Oak Glen
About
Singing Hills Golf Club offers two 18-hole championship courses, Oak Glen and Willow Glen, as well as a 9-hole, par-3 course. The courses are tucked into a valley, surrounded by mountains and sloping hillsides that provide stunning backdrops on almost every hole. The Sweetwater River runs through the Oak Glen Course, coming into play on several holes including the memorable fifth hole, which is definitely a contender for one of the best par 4s in San Diego. This challenging hole requires an accurate drive across the river. The gently rolling terrain is sprinkled with mature trees. The layout features undulating greens and tight fairways. It is a challenging golf course but it is generally forgiving off of the tees, which makes it slightly less difficult than the hillier Willow Glen Course on property.

Excellent Value
I’m an out of towner and got a chance to play here after concluding some business. Overall, excellent value. Great course layout with very nice greens. Greens rolled quite slow from what I’m used to but we’re nice. Fairways could use a mow but again, great condition. Just lost out on some roll. Staff was incredibly attentive and friendly. Range was decent for hitting off a mat. Limited flight balls but perfect for warming up. Also have a nice chipping green and what seemed like a dozen putting greens scattered about. Like I said earlier, it was an excellent value and I’ll be back next time I’m in town.
Ok course
I have to say I did enjoy the course, however saying that the course is not worth paying 99$ if you have to pay the non-resident price, at best maybe 35-40$,the greens were slow but rolled fairly true, the staff was friendly snack bar just ok
A great course
This is a fabulous course, nestled in the foot hills of East County. All three are great (two 18's & a Par 3)...
ROUGH Weekend
Looked like the greens had just gotten a makeover... No sand on them though! Very bumpy and very ROUGH . Usually the greens are well manicured, not the case during our game. ( Played with my son.)
Were not allowed to drive on any fairways, had to stay on cart paths or on the ROUGH. Even that WAS ROUGH!
Where are the mowers??
The mowers have not been out on this course in days?? Tee boxes, fairways, rough, grasses were extremely high. Course played "all Carry" no roll all day! Not fun playing out of deep thick grasses, even from the middle of the fairway, fringes of the greens, etc. Had I known the conditions, would have past on this "deal"!!
Oak Glen
The greens were very nice and the course was lush and green. I definitely would recommend it.
Never a bad day for golf
Played on a Sunday afternoon when it was pretty warm, but the breeze came up, as usual, and we had a great day of golf. Brought out of town friends and they thought Oak Glen was a blast. I won't be surprised if we wind up coming back for one of the other Courses in the future.
Too flat for my liking
I really prefer to play the sister course Willow Glenn, but they were punching the greens, so... maybe next time.
Most of the fairways are ok, and the greens are 90% fine, so it makes it an enjoyable course to play,
Will play again soon
Well maintained with excellent bunker placement
Outstanding golf course, I try to play here when I'm in the area.
Great place
All together this place was really fun. It has a good driving range and real nice chipping area. There three putting greens so you can dial in your putting. The course has a good layout, though a couple look a lot like the others. The fairways and greens were in good shape an the ruff was kept at a playable length. I would come back.
The staff in the pro shop and bar we're friendly.
Great course....staff needs training
Great facilities, unfortunately there is a certain attitude by some of the staff in the restaurant and Pro-Shop that could be better. If they are serious about having a top notch facility they will need to train the staff, it is important to have good and friendly service in the hospitality industry.
Wonderful Place to play golf
The carts have GPS and a place to wash your clubs and golf balls. The course is great as long as you can keep your shots down the middle. Just enough trees, sand, water and natural obstacles to make it a challenge. The greens are well kept and, at times, a bit tricky. The only fault I could find was the sand in one bunker was damp and made for an interesting problem getting out. Great staff and beautiful location.
Sycuan Resort
I believe this to be the best course in East San Diego County
What a day for Golf
The weather was great, the course was in great shape.
Other than one sand trap that needed raking, it was wonderful
excellent day
Course is in very good shape considering the warm weather. Greens weren't fast but in great condition. The layout is excellent. The amenities at Sycuan are excellent and the staff is top notch.
Great Course
I really enjoyed my round. I was a single and played with a couple of guys who had played it before. The course is challenging with fairly large greens. The greens were a little slow but other than that I would definantly play again.
Excellent Golf Course!
I would say it is one of the nicest golf course I played. It's flat but the greens are in great shape. Well worth my time.
