Singing Hills Golf Resort at Sycuan - Willow Glen
About
Willow Glen is one of two 18-hole championship courses at Singing Hills Golf Club, which also boasts a 9-hole, par-3 course. Nestled in a valley between lush hillsides, the golf courses all offer stunning mountain views. The mountains also help to block the wind, which allows for more agreeable playing conditions. Willow Glen is slightly more challenging than the other championship course due to a hillier terrain and more fairways that are tightly lined with mature pines, oaks, and cottonwoods. The trees shape the landing zones and add definition to the doglegs. Proper placement off the tees is necessary for doing well on this course. Contoured mounding borders the greensides as well as more than 40 bunkers. Water also comes into play on six holes. The 11th through the 15th holes are an impressive stretch that presents a variety of challenges as well as unrivaled scenery.

Nice track
Greens were slow but pace of play was not. Fairways were in pretty good condition for late summer. Staff very helpful and friendly. Would play there again.
Good time at a pleasant course
This is a nice layout with a few signature holes, with nice views from highly elevated tees on par 4s. The greens hold up very good, you can really make the ball spin and run very smoothly. The course is not crowded at all so the pace is great. Yesterday was very hot, so that was the only down side. Overall a very good course to play in and an amazing value for the $ 20 hot rate deal.
gerat course
es un campo bonito con dificultades que son atractivas, el clima muy bueno y el servicio de quienes administran el campo muy bueno, la comida muy buena
Willow Glen
This was my first time playing any of the Sycuan courses just because they are a bit of a drive to get to. I really enjoyed the course and intend to play there again next week.
very good course
these is a very good golf course, but at these sumer season the ferways was little dry
Really Decent Layout But Make Sure You Get A Deal
I got a deal (Approx 30% off the normal $95 rate I see all the time) so it was worth the $60. Conditions were favorable and staff were friendly and accommodating. Rough was thick and patchy in areas and there were leaves around. Don't miss the fairways. The Range was closed for construction, which it dearly needs, so I wasn't able to warm up other than putting. That probably explained the deal I got. However, it's really in a great valley where there are with plenty of scenic views, so I always enjoy the round. It's actually a decent walking course. Nothing too hilly or tough. The pace was really good but it was a weekday, so it wasn't very crowded. Overall, I was pleased with the round and experience.
Course in poor condition
I booked the tee time a week in advance on Golfnow and there was no indication/warning of the greens being aerated. When I check-in, I'm told that the greens were aerated last Sunday but the greens are in good shape. I'm also warned that the fairways are ready to be over seeded the next day and the rough would then be cut. The warning was pretty accurate since the fairways looked dead and the rough was ridiculously long.
On top of the course conditions, my threesome got bumped from our 7:37 tee time that I booked on golfnow. I checked in at 6.55 and my partners checked in at 7:10 yet our tee time was pushed back for no reason.
Sycuan should put the warning on golfnow if the greens have been punched in the last week and the staff should honor scheduled tee times especially when all the players are in time.
I'll never pay $60 to play a course and receive that kind of treatment.
Beautiful resort
Best greens in the country, fast play, friendly staff, great value for the money. Beautiful golf course.
TOP SAN DIEGO COURSE
this is a great course I rate it one of the top 10 courses in san diego, and with the great deal from golf now, it is worth playing every week, thanks golf now!
Fun course, but a little pricey!
Fun course. Challenging.Greens in great shape.A little expensive!
Nice challenging layout and fantastic greens.
Course had a 1 hour frost delay so they did a shotgun start and we started on the 3rd hole. Pace was good throughout and they fit us in nicely to finish the first 2 holes. Normal winter time conditions off the fairways but the green were pristine and rolled fairly fast; i.e. downhill putts were hard to stop. Nice courteous staff but we never saw the beer cart the entire round and we finished at 12:30 pm.
Good track with some challenging holes
Overall we enjoyed playing Willow Glen but were unprepared for the lack of services (no beverage cart and the snack shack at the turn was closed the day we played). The course is nestled in a valley surrounded by beautiful rocky mountains and offers plenty of nice views.
Nicely designed and maintained course.
Played at Willow Glen. Course was in good shape, greens and fairways were in good condition.
Pro shop did not mention that the course had been recently punched and that many of the tee boxes were being redone
I think the rate should have been more like $30-$40 based on current course conditions, even on a weekend. The only thing that made it almost OK is that there was no one else out there, so we had it to ourselves. Pro shops should always inform clients of any issues with course conditions and it is very disappointing when they don't.
Don't go here!!!!
When I went inside the pro shop I was told a tournament was about to start and play slow because of shotgun start. At the 6th hole foursomes of older women golfers flooded the course. They shouldn't have played because a lot of them lacked experience to play this course. The starter came and asked if my group would like to play the other 18 hole course. We agreed an went to the other side. Unfortunately it was even worse due to golfers that hit the ball 20 yards with the driver. After 3 hours and playing 7 holes I had enough. I went to the pro shop and asked if they could reschedule me, the supervisor said no and turned his nose up at me because I paid "the discounted rate"! The supervisor was rude and I will NEVER go here again! Absolutely ridiculous!
Willow Glen is a great course.
One of my favorite San Diego courses. The combination of a challenging golf course with one beautiful hole after another and great conditions make this a must play destination.
This course features some of the best greens in San Diego.
The facility has everything a golfer could possibly want.
Tee to green stay on the short cut the trees can cause some
discomfort. Over the last two years this resort is one of my favorites. A true test for all golfers. Well worth a trip to San Diego
to experience a true golf destination.
Enjoyable experience
The greens were excellent and very consistent. We played as a foursome and got done in under 4 hours.
Great course & layout
Excellent conditions & very challenging. Well designed course. Fast greens& many of the greens are elevated making it difficult for club selection
To clarify, the course I played was Willow Glen. I played it again this week and it was in much better shape now. I just think it was very overpriced based on the previous condition. My recommendation is to always ask the pro shop about course status before you book.
Which course did you play?
