9th hole on Canyon. One of the most picturesque holes on the course. Tough hole that plays into the wind. Photo submitted by aliikane10 on 07/14/2017

Good staff!
Overall a good experience.
Amazing....
its really the poppy ridge of San Jose but I would have to say I even enjoy it more.Certainly more challenging and all three courses are distinctly different. It was a little windy that really makes all the difference on the canyon course but still a remarkable course to play in any condition.Beverage girl was always around within a couple holes which is amazing considering the area she must cover(some golf course I only see them once or twice a round).Everything was perfect the last 9 holes I only saw a single in front of me the hole 9 holes no one behind.
Beautiful Course!
Visiting from out of state, found this gem and had to give it a shot. One of the finest courses I have played.
Very Fun; yet, a Putting Challenge
The course runs through rolling hills. It is rather impossible to walk. The layout is great and interesting; with each hole being pretty unique. The only problem is hard greens that are too sloped. Way too much break typically, that led to several three putts. Still, it is a very enjoyable course.
This course has great greens.
This course is very clean and nicely maintained, very challenging and fun.
Get your money's worth!
A pretty nice round of golf! A little bit pricey but worth it! A challenging course! The greens were well maintained. The fairways were so nicely cut, so green and so soft! I would highly recomment this to friends. And I would definitely come back over and over again as log as they offer good deals through golfnow.
Beautiful yet challenging!
It was a nice round of golf! A little bit pricey but worthy it! A little bit tough though. The greens were well maintained. The fairways were so green, cut well and soft. I would highly recommend this course to friends and I would definitely come back over and ober again as long as they offer a good deal.
Beautiful couse
Beautiful course, challenging layout but fair.
Beautiful Course
Beautiful conditions. Great layout and friendly staff made it a great day for golf. I brought a couple friends who never played here before that really enjoyed it and ranked it as one of the top courses in the area. Will definitely be returning to play again
Great course, but could be better!!
Great layout, weekday price on Golfnow, but lots of wet fairways and easy to lose balls even in short rough by fairways. Take many balls after rainy days... you need them. I wish course was more dryer and rough was cut, too. Promising great fun with friends or co-workers, even with your boss. Weekend rate is little high for the area. Will go back to play soon if discounted.
Experience a total package
Nice course , challenging , fun, exciting
Bring extra balls and have a good time.
Too hard for high handicap, causing slow play.
Best value in the South Bay
All three nines are great in their own right. The best combo to play is mountain to canyon but the lake course is no slouch. If you can snag a tee time before 9am, do so. As with every other course in the South Bay the wind picks up gradually throughout the day and the prevailing wind makes the course play 3-5 strokes higher per side if it get over 20mph.
Great online value
Great course that was in excellent shape, greens are fast, but roll true. Online rates are very reasonable for a course of this condition.
Great course, But...
This course is NOT a good walk. As a cart course, they need improved access to the Tees and Greens. The courses at Cinnabar Hills, (three 9-hole courses) -- Are excellently cared for by the management and superintendent staff. The Teeing grounds were flawless: as were the fairways, as were the greens. Every interaction with the golf course staff was top-notch.
The service at Cinnabar Hills along with the beautiful golf course, and the awesome views of nature/wildlife, is something not to be missed.
Course Tip:
Always play to the fairways, from there you can effectively manage your way throughout the course. Failing this, you will have to navigate on often un-walkable terrain, filled with gullies, washes, and hollows. In the case of the latter, go for the horse and pack-mule option at the Cart Barn...
Needs more Marshall
Course was in good shape consider the cold weather and forst.. greens are fabulous hope they don't mess then up ha ha course in great shape . Just need some more Marshall guys taking 20 mins a hole . Good place to play a bit expensive for winter hours ..
Cinn Greens Always Great - Fast and True
In the winter, all one can really ask for is good greens. Cinnabar greens are always the best around. Whatever you shoot, you WON'T be able to blame it on the greens. Really good layout.
Drought is taking it's toll
The greens were very, very good, meaning smooth and fast.
The course, however, for the first time ever, is pretty scratchy, with tufts of grass surrounded by dirt in many places, including in the fairway.
I had at least four shots from the fairway that were essentially played off of bare soil.
Hopefully El Nino will provide a healthy "flush" of salts from the rootzone and provide adequate reservoir levels to permit normal amounts of irrigation this coming season.
Good course to play
Course has always been in good condition, they have four nines and so makes for good variety. The greens were in excellent shape in spite of being late season.
They have four sets of tees and so good for golfers at all levels. For the money this course is excellent value.
