Crescent Pointe Golf Club
About
Crescent Pointe Golf Club in Bluffton is Arnold Palmer's only public course in the area. It is conveniently located just a few minutes west of the bridge leaving Hilton Head Island. Opened in 2000, the course has quickly gained a reputation as being one of the Lowcountry's best. Sprawling across a lush landscape blanketed with century-old oaks and towering pines, the layout is as scenic as it is challenging. While the generous fairways may be player friendly, the difficult approaches to the elevated, well bunkered greens are anything but. The large, pristine white sand bunkers were designed in true Palmer-style, closely following the natural undulations of the land. The gently rolling terrain is unique for the area. Crescent Pointe Golf Club's elevation changes aren't dramatic but they do provide some subtle, but tricky undulations in the greens that make it hard to find a flat lie.

The staff was helpful and friendly. The course was nice.
Beautiful course but not in great shape.
The course design is terrific but it was not in great shape which I suspect is due to the time of the season (mid March) and lack of over-seeding for the winter. Greens seemed to be dormant but dyed green to look better. Ball often would not stop on small slopes and roll out 5 to 10' past the hole because the grass was matted down. Having said that I would definitely play this course again, it seems that I find all Arnold Palmer courses great fun to play.
Help Maintenance
The course is beginning to recover from previous management. They are working hard to improve the overall shape of the course. Suggestion: The maintenance crew needs assistance. Place collection trays at each tee box in order for players to place their used tees. It will help clean up the tee boxes. Also helps the maintenance crew in reducing their work and protects the mowers.
Pins
Pin placements for the first-time visitor would have been more helpful. Opening starter was highly informative. Scorecard & cart gps neglected pin placements. Everything else was a great experience.
Great time : First time playing.
You can’t beat the layout and the price is right.
I will be back real soon
You get what you pay for
The greens were really in poor shape compared to other courses in the area that I've played. The price was certainly cheaper than most other courses in the Hilton Head area but but the fairways and the greens need some work
Excellent Course
We enjoyed our first round here today. Nice design and conditions. We will be back!
Fun layout, clever routing, greens for the most part in nice shape, notable exception of hole #15. Fairways about two weeks away from prime condition. EZ check in, friendly and polite staff. Overall nice bang for the buck
Nice Greens
Greens in great shape! Nice and quick!
Our golf cart had no breaks but we managed to get through 18 holes.
Excellent Time
Played course for the first time. Arnold Palmer Signature course. Well maintained. Course was in great shape. Pace of play was good made it around in 4:15. Living in another resort time, that is actually an excellent time. Especially playing with a beginner golfer. But we play quickly. Greens were smooth and quick. Tees and fairways are in good shape. We had a great time. Had lunch before our round. All staff was great. From bag drop to pro shop to bar. Did not see a beverage cart all day even though the it was in the high 70’s to low 80’s.
Like all Arnold Palmer courses has hazards strategically placed. From bunkers off the tee and greens to ponds and creeks on approach shots. Actually play two 5 irons on par 5’s because of narrow driving areas and water in front of green. I am not long enough any more to hit par 5’a in two. So played clubs to keep me in play and still allow me to hit wedge for 3rd shot.
Love the course layout and conditions.
Definitely would play it again.
