About
Crescent Pointe Golf Club in Bluffton is Arnold Palmer's only public course in the area. It is conveniently located just a few minutes west of the bridge leaving Hilton Head Island. Opened in 2000, the course has quickly gained a reputation as being one of the Lowcountry's best. Sprawling across a lush landscape blanketed with century-old oaks and towering pines, the layout is as scenic as it is challenging. While the generous fairways may be player friendly, the difficult approaches to the elevated, well bunkered greens are anything but. The large, pristine white sand bunkers were designed in true Palmer-style, closely following the natural undulations of the land. The gently rolling terrain is unique for the area. Crescent Pointe Golf Club's elevation changes aren't dramatic but they do provide some subtle, but tricky undulations in the greens that make it hard to find a flat lie.

Not worth the price
Played here several times. Have not seen this beautiful course in terrible shape. It broke my heart Normally I wouldn’t mind the price I paid but not worth it.

Relaxing and enjoyable
Play here many times. We come down here for 6 to 8 months at a time. Have a home on HHI. Love the layout of this course. Thank you.

Disappointing
Overall course condition was below average. Tee boxes rough and not cleanly edged. Trap edges not maintained. Greens slow and spotty with an unwanted grass. Ball washer water dirty, and most covered with bird droppings. Mr. Palmer would not want his name on this course if he were alive. Extremely disappointed with course conditions and condition of greens.

This club has a friendly staff with a fantastic pub
The pub served the best chimichuga
My husband raved about it. The server Rosanna could not be more friendly. She was very accommodating and shared with us about the area and recommended some other places to eat since we are from Atlanta. The golf course is relatively easy to play with wide open fairways and smooth and well manicured greens. The cart paths are bumpy so u have to drive slow. Wed come back for sure.

Beautiful course
I really enjoyed this course. Challenging but not so hard it caused frustration. It is nicely maintained and the scenery is gorgeous.

No good
Dry fairways with little to no grass, mole holes, chewed up tee boxes and dirty carts were the highlight of my round. The design of the course is fantastic but all of the aforementioned characteristics left no doubt in my mind as to why this is one of the only public courses on Hilton Head. Better to just pay the extra bucks to play on one of the better courses on the island.

Good course. Not great. Greens & Tees in good shape. My biggest complaint is condition of sand traps near greens. Many were unplayable. Hard as concrete. I/we agreed to take a free lift out and play on. Not talking about waste areas. They do not need maintenance

This course was in atrocious shape. Awful value for your money. I'm shocked Arnold Palmers name is associated with this mess. Due to rain the day before cart path only was directed by staff. Unfortunately the cart path was like driving thru a war zone! I would say 50 percent of the cement path was either missing, distorted or cracked. The fairways reminded me of a cow pasture. Please do not recommend this so called "signature course" to your avid golfers.

Worth the pick
Not an easy course for a twenty handicap but still interesting to play with plenty of variety

Very Disappointed
Was very disappointed in this course. It used to be one of my favourite courses Mr. Palmer would be very disappointed Was very hard to find any grass in the fairways, hard to justify $90 green fees with these conditions with a temporary green.

It must have seen better days once.
A true disappointment for going away to play in Hilton head! Fuzzy greens, almost no grass in the "fairways ", bunkers of which not any two were alike. Cart paths in name only. Don't waste your time or money here.
If I belonged here I would have to seriously consider going elsewhere.

Really scruffy conditions; greens reasonable, fairways stunk, cart paths will rattle your teeth though riding fairways not much better
