About
Crescent Pointe Golf Club in Bluffton is Arnold Palmer's only public course in the area. It is conveniently located just a few minutes west of the bridge leaving Hilton Head Island. Opened in 2000, the course has quickly gained a reputation as being one of the Lowcountry's best. Sprawling across a lush landscape blanketed with century-old oaks and towering pines, the layout is as scenic as it is challenging. While the generous fairways may be player friendly, the difficult approaches to the elevated, well bunkered greens are anything but. The large, pristine white sand bunkers were designed in true Palmer-style, closely following the natural undulations of the land. The gently rolling terrain is unique for the area. Crescent Pointe Golf Club's elevation changes aren't dramatic but they do provide some subtle, but tricky undulations in the greens that make it hard to find a flat lie.

The conditions were terrible. There was no grass. Every shot was hit off dirt unless you could roll to a nearby weed…which there were a lot of too. Sand traps had lots of rocks. Cart paths were in terrible condition and need to be replaced. So disappointing….I feel bad for the residents who live and play there.

Really needs work.
The greens were terrible. Fairways OK. The course obviously needs some care. In addition, the cart paths were in such bad shape that it felt like we needed a chiropractor after the round. It really wasn't worth the money at all. Please don't go there.

Where is the marshall
5 hour round with group ahead 2 to 3 holes behind. Tee boxes and greens bare in places. Lawn mower guy for some reason followed us mowing for at least 8 holes, how about going opposite direction of golfers so one group doesn't have to deal with you multiple holes. No where near worth price no grass on range.

Way over-priced
Course was in terrible shape, even for this time of year. Very little grass on fairways and hard as a rock. Greens=spotty. Very short yardage-wise. Lots of sand and weeds/brush. With all the other courses nearby, I won’t play here again.

April Round
Not in good shape. Greens firm and fast. Needs to be aerified. Bunkers are in very bad shape. Very little grass in the fairways. Not a course that I would recommend. Have played this course in the past, and wasn’t nearly this bad. Very disappointed.

Arnold Turning Over in Grave
Played prior to covid. Loved it. Eager to return to play a super layout. Conditions now so disappointing. Hard to maintain concentration hoping next hole would be better.
Hope some serious money can bring it back.

Very disappointing, needs a lot more work, this use to be a great course, not going back sorry

Lovely day of Golfing
Course is tough but fair. Keep it in the short grass and you can score well. Off line, that your medicine and chip out. Must be thinking out there.

When I arrived the staff was friendly and helpful. The starter paired me with 2 other golfers of similar golfing ability. On the first hole, I observed the cart path was in poor condition. I then observed the fairway grass was spotted with weeds. I am a member of a course in Virginia and expected the grass to be better in South Carolina. I had played the course in 2006 and the condition today is very different than it was then. The cart paths are in extreme need of repair. I look forward to playing this course again in better conditions.

Cart paths require major overhaul
Carts should have GPS...many difficult blind shots
Virtually no contact with any personnel

Great layout
Like most courses in the area, they’re all in desperate need of rain. This winter has been very dry. That being said, loved the layout. Greens were actually pretty good, and 100 times better than the practice green. Which I was initially concerned with. Great driving range. Proshop staff was great! Palmers Pub staff was very friendly and attentive. I can see myself playing this course much more in the future.

Course needs work…
We we’re down here for vacation from Wisconsin. We thought with it being a Arnold Palmer designed course, it would have been very nice. It is early in the year but the course was not in good condition for the price. The worst part of the experience was the cart paths. They were almost un-drivable. For the $180 dollars it costed to play 18 holes, rent clubs, and buy golf balls I was thinking it was going to be a better golfing experience…

Greens were fine, rest of course not in good shape. Pace of play was great, because no one was playing. The course was not up to usual condition, unfortunately because it is a really nice layout when in better condition

Good value course for locals
This as well as the other Hallmark courses are great layouts but need some work. Many traps have little sand. A lot of bare spots in the fairways.
They never said anything about the temporary green on 15.
With a little work this could be a great place to play
